406V6
There came a point in the 80s when only the most miserable cars didn't have a rev counter (apart from a Rolls). Still true today. <Grumpy old man mode on>And don't get me started about cars that can't be bothered to put the instruments where they belong in front of the driver rather than having to crank your neck to the left<Back to normal mode> Lacquer Peel

Jams
Some quality* French and Italian cars have a guide clip witch clips on to the glass and sits in the channel and stops things like that from happening. Now I'm unable to tell what said vehicle is berlingos don't have them but dispatch and others with same platform do 807 fiat ulyashite etc I will probably have a clip in my van if you need one mate Lacquer Peel
Richard
I was just searching Flickr for misery pictures. This one is in Cardiff I think. cros
Just the job. I look after one of these for someone and a clock is more use than a rev counter unless you're someone who likes to keep a record of how many times the engine has revolved. Only thing I didn't like was that the hole for the window winder has as plastic plug in it to remind you that your only one step above the poverty model, and the window switches are behind the interior mirror. Richard
It's strange- rev counters are almost completely useless, but nobody (including me) wants a car without one. Louise2cv, dave21478, tinribs and 1 other
dave21478
Fitting a rev counter was the worst thing I did to my first ever car. It just encouraged me to thrash it harder.

dave21478
Well, a clock is probably more useful than a rev counter for telling you when its time to change gear on one of these things. anonymous user, Twiggy, garethj and 7 others
