NorthernMonkey
Perhaps I can make this a little more tempting.... If the winner is a holder of two tickets, then they will also receive:a full tank of unleaded ANDa copy of the Renault Electronic Parts Catalogue and Workshop Manual for the Vel Satis, in the form of two VMs that run Renault Dialogys.(You will need a windows pc to make use of this, but the only other software you'll require is VMWare Workstation Player, which is free to download)Go on then, throw me one more random number.... chodweaver
I'll have another twenty tickets if you fit it with an autobox. While it might not be the most sporty of motors, I can think of no better way of removing the pleasure of driving the thing than by replacing a six speed box of silky smoothness with a 5 speed slush box. I've currently got two other autos in the fleet, so I'm getting a feel for which cars are better for an auto box. I don't think this is one of them. Also, it's now quite rare enough as it is - I don't want to make it the only Vel Satis to have been converted from manual to auto... so, sorry, but I will not be turning it into a badermatic barefoot and AMC Rebel

barefoot
I can't wait to win it, my two girls are going to love being chauffeured around in it. Does it have picnic tables? Of course it doesn't, it's French. It has an upright storage facility for a bottle of wine and a baguette. And maybe somewhere moist to encourage snails to breed. chodweaver, DeeJay, The Moog and 1 other

chodweaver
Bump 'cos the Presidential Renner is still at Chez Chod, with it's lovely seats and long MOT and there's still 24 chances to amaze* and impress* your family and friends before Christmas by scooping up a properly opulent looking motah for a tenner... (And because I need to free up a parking space on the drive, so I can free up a parking space on the road, 'cos the gates to the drive are completely doing my head in.)(And because Mrs CW is being very good about not nagging me about the Renner STILL being here, but this can't last much longer...) doubleyeller
Thread bump because that is one lovely car Sir! I couldn't get insured on one of these - £2k per annum! I would have a number otherwise though. With respect, perhaps the high mileage is putting a few people off? A bit of a gamble for a buyer as one breakdown would almost certainly spell the end economically speaking! Instead of offering a full tank of fuel, why not drop the price a little, surely someone will be tempted to take the plunge? chodweaver
Lankytim
I've driven this and it was pretty good. You feel a cut above all the munters driving normal cars and the thing is deceptively big in the metal. I thought it would be Austin Maestro sized. Mr_Bo11ox I was going to hold off sending out payage details until closer to the draw. PayPal and bank transfer will be acceptable methods of payage. I can see how many will think the car (not the roffle, that IS) a gamble. But while I've fettled the bits that bugged me cos they didn't work, and after I had the turbo oil feed return pipe sorted (as soon as I bought it), it's been a really solid performer. It starts, it goes, it stops. I've done some properly long journeys in it and it's a brilliant car for this - it's so comfy and effortless. I could do with the space that it's taking up, as Mrs CW is about to commit the cardinal sin of buying some modern on PCP and I have a Badermatic Corsa C to work on for her pleasure and 8 vehicles of various types is, even in my book, too many, she's about to make it 9... so... it can be yours for £500 and the ticket price is now down to £7.5 And the winner (single ticket holders included) will get a full tank of sans plomb, the Renner software and the brake pads and ARB bushes. I will have to reward double ticket holders with pies. But pies from Westmorland Tebay services, so they don't feel too hard done by.
