Very broken Rover 75

Unfortunately my 75 has not survived it's trip into floodwater.  I've removed the plugs, released many litres of water from the air intake, but the engine is locked solid - I'm guessing bent rods.

Please let me know if you'd like to acquire this - it's free to a shitter, as long as you remove it.  It's in Oakley, Hampshire.

Pros:

Connoisseur V6 auto

12 months MOT!

4x new tyres

New rear suspension arms last year

Celebrity owned - Purplebargeken and (very briefly and virtually), Cavcraft.

Professionally installed Autoshite sticker

Lovely interior - with the exception of the heated seats, everything works

Cons:

Busted

Bodywork is scuffed, dented, giffer repaired, and this is on top of the dreadful doom blue colour.

I'd get your £70 of scrap mate. Having your car written off is bad enough without giving away the soggy remains for nowt!

Few bits that might earn you a few bob first...

That steering wheel is worth the best part of £200...

The leather seats will get you another £150 (if you advertise a U-Pull-It basis on the owners' forum someone will oblige).

Same goes for hi-line nav.

Easy bit of money before sending the shell off...

Yeah, what he said - but what's so special about the steering wheel? Seen quite a few like that tbh!

It's an early real wood and sandstone wheel. If it's in as good condition as it looks it'll be worth £££

The later ones aren't worth so much as the 'wood' isn't up to much, and the plastic imitation Oak ones are not worth much at all.

There are no nice walnut + sandstone wheels on eBay at present.

Oh right, thanks for clearing that one up for me!

As has been pointed out, theres good money in that scrap.  Get it posted on the 75 forum.  Just don't fall foul of the rules.....
