4 x Renault 20 TX Amil alloys £150 - Roffle ticket anyone @ £5 ??

Hi folks, I've had a change of heart about these alloys I have for my Renault 20 TS, I've decided it's better to be a purist and go for refurbing the steel wheels on mine, as opposed to giving it the TX look! It's a head, not heart decision though......

If anyone has a TX, they will know that these are rare as hen's teeth - consequentially, I've seen these sell for huge amounts, however these need a good refurb, so anybody know anyone who'd be interested at £150 the set?

OMG TRX!

They are absolutely awesome - best tread patterns ever -  and can be expensive to replace if you go to Michelin direct. However Avon and Colway do their own versions that fit, and there are plenty of genuine Michelin TRX on ebay at reasonable prices.

Roffle @ £5 a head anyone? Proceeds to a great (shite) cause - R20 TS restoration!

I'm all for a roffle, but I think in this case you're probably gonna struggle to find 59 people with a need for these wheels..

What fitment are they ie stud pattern, size, offset? Are they metrics?

All I know is that they are metric Amil alloys, made in Belgium, tyre size has a funny '390' at the end. Only wheel that will fit on a 20 TX. PCD is very very unusual, and gap between the wheel nuts is colossal!

No, I don't suppose anybody actually needs them, I just thought it would be a bit of fun having a Roffle with such a bizarre prize, and I am trying to raise welding money for the 20!

Let's get the daftest Roffle ever going - who will be first to take a number?

:-D

They're a mad pcd aren't they? The 604 Alloys were 4x140 I think. Shared with the Subaru Brat and bugger all else.

I remember my Father wrecking one of these when he couldn't change a puncture. The bill was absolutely eye watering - £500 (in 1991) plus Vat and labour. The only other option was to weld new wheel studs on, but overall no cheaper when 4 new wheels and all the labour taken into account!

59 x £5 = £295 . Don't you want £150 for them? You'd have much more chance selling 59 £2.50 tickets.

You might be better going for the thunder ball. One in fourteen chances for the punter and you might have more chance finding 14 people willing to gamble a 10 spot at good odds than 59 folk prepared to fork out money for a chance to own these rare curiosities.

Somewhere in this pile ( temporary, whilst we rebuild the racking in the shed) is a set of immaculate identical TX Amil Renault rims with brand new metric tyres.

Bought because 'I might' own one, one day - a speculative purchase- like most of the pile!

You don't want to know what I paid for them, very very little, but I still haven't found a use.

Maybe, one day..
