richardmorris
I've just been speaking to a guy who is helping his brother in law clear a friend's citroen workshop in Hampton Hill. Frank Scullion had been a citroen garage for about thirty years and has a yard full of junk worthwhile parts cars. He had called me about a mostly complete 1971 Dyane 6 going free.He thinks it's not worth saving, but may yield useful spares. This yard already unearthed three SMs and two tractions, plus numerous bxs. Anyway whilst a tatty dyane may not excite everyone, how does a 30,000 mile three cylinder Daihatsu (four doors, electric windows). Not run for two years and started first time on a new battery! Now in the queue to scrap - but Tim says its a great little thing. For those interested call Tim on O7956 331 32O. NB. First posted about this back in December last year. Many have been scrapped since! blackbart and strangeangel
Tamworthbay
Is the Dyane definitely past saving?
richardmorris
Is the Dyane definitely past saving?I have no idea, he says panels look fine and underneath not too bad. He says it would be a lot of work to restore/get roadworthy. Give him a ring, he sounded friendly enough and doesn't want to scrap it. sierraman
Even if it was a complete hen house he'd get eleven trillion pounds on Fleabay if he said he found it in a barn. I wouldn't let the fact it's got the structural integrity of wet chipboard get in the way. Add straw and bits of old shit on top for added authenticity! strangeangel
