A60 nicked

The Main

Recommended Posts

No, not mine - but some unfortunate Farina fan has had their pride and joy half-inched. I thought I'd pass this on, straight from the Cambridge-Oxford forum, so please keep your eyes peeled:

Stolen, Austin Cambridge A60 1969

Registration: E00 514H; Grey with white flash, red leather interior and has a dent to the rhs front wing.

Reported Stolen in the London Area

If you see this vehicle, please report it to the Police and also Systems & Support at The Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club.

support@co-oc.org

One imagines a 'lifted' A60 Cambridge will end up on the track somewhere (although of course it could easily turn out to be joyriders, as was the case with that poor Datsun recently). Would be nice if it turns up safe and sound - if I hear 'owt I'll let you know!

Cheers all

Bugger. There is an auto going through the auctions soon, these are the sketchy details:

1971 Morris Oxford Mk Vi. Registered March 1971, ACG 178J 25,000miles (NOT warranted), auto, finished in Beige. Somebody tell me about these cars? Its at an auction in Wimbledon.

Bad news :( I trust it has been circulated on all the racing forums?

There's a thread on Ovalchat about it,they're about as impressed as people on here :x
Though of course they'd do the square root of fuck all about it, and probably whoop and cheer as it 'goes in well'. A clear chance to clean up the repuation of the "sport" - the correct answer would be to check documentation & VIN's of ALL fresh farina's raced over at least the next 24 months. Chances of that happening? NONE AT ALL.

Might just be stupid little twockers messing about. Problem is, beauties like that are so easy to get into & hotwire. There comes a point when you have to fit some sort of security, preferably an immobiliser. Hope they both turn up safely (the cars, not the thieves - they can have genital warts).
