I'm quite partial to those Mk2 Cavvy estates. There, I've said it.

I can't remember the last time I saw one; I remember a comment in CAR about them from the 90s; the estate bodywork came from Holden in Australia and because they apparently were notably bad rusters it was wondered were the panels dumped in the sea at some point

A real rarity; there wasn't an Opel Ascona estate so they were really rare here

That Cav looks like a gem. It seems to have been spotted a bit over the years as well. If the wife doesn't like it fair enough; shame though!

"The "i" on the back of my Cavalier tells everyone I've made it.
It stands for "i" am "i"ncredible, "i"mportant, and it means everyone
has to get out of my way. I don't pull over for anything.
Unless it has headlamp washers because that means it's an SRi
and he's more important than my GLi.
Then I pull over and nod to let him know he's more important than me."

That Camira Wagon used to be mine until earlier this year! It's a great car and drives really well. Auto wasn't my first choice either, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to Cav Estates. Presentable car but it's had paintwork/body repairs through its life which are easy to spot when you get close up. Interior is really good condition apart from the boot carpet being worn.

It took bloody ages to sell, which surprised me. Current seller's odd pricing policy might be down to the fact he didn't quite pay me four figures for it! ;-)

What concerns me is it's probably more difficult to sell than the Alto so when I'm bored of it in a few weeks it'll end up hanging around for ages. Do you think it would sell at around £800?

From all of the chat I've seen over on facebook from previous owners, it's a bag of shit.
