I've owned this Alto for over a year and have taken it on a few adventures including a trip to Wales (Shitefest) in the summer of 2015.
It has been super reliable and has never let me down. I recently had a new clutch fitted along with front wheel bearings.

The mileage is around 56k so is quite low for the year.
Bodywork is quite good, there's a few parking dings and some lacquer peel on one of the doors and some minor surface rust in places but overall it's pretty decent.

Mot runs out in January 2017.

Interior is good (if you're a fan of beige) with no rips or tears.
The car is fitted with an 800cc 3 cylinder engine and has a 4 speed manual gearbox. It costs under £20 to fill the tank from empty and you can expect to see up to 200 miles per tank.
It's not particularly fast but is geared well enough to safely keep up in modern day traffic.
I'd like to sell so that someone else can experience the happiness that this little car can bring.

I have this advertised on car and classic at £1000 but a 20% shiters discount is available. It's located right at the back of my driveway in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.

Oh and I can collect anyone who might need to travel from further afield from local airports (Glasgow) or (Edinburgh) or train stations (Edinburgh) or (Dunfermline) so that whole distance thing becomes even less of an issue.

This thing give me major feelings of wantage but it's too expensive and I already have too many cars and my insurance company would take a kidney and my parents would kill me and the north east coast would kill the car.

God, isn't it just the fucking best though?

The main reason for sale last time was I'd spent all my money on this but now I just fancy a change. The E28 didn't last very long, it was a bit shit.

The main reason for sale is I've just spent all my money on this and I'm feeling quite poor at the moment.

You should add "genuine reason for sale" in the advert.

Not sure on the Lexus, it's a bit "I want to look like the Yakuza, but I'm not the Yakuza so I look like a bit of a twat".

A bit of an update on this since I put it up for sale in October, I had decided at the time that I didn't want to part with it so kept hold of it and used it regularly until the head gasket failed and it ran out of mot a short while later.

I had the cylinder head removed, pressure tested, skimmed and new gaskets fitted, at the same time it had a new timing belt and water pump. I put it in for a test in March and it failed on handbrake efficiency and a couple of silly things. I dropped it off at a local garage who overhauled the rear brakes, I provided them with cylinders and shoes and they adjusted the handbrake and fixed anything else required for the test and it passed this week with a clean sheet.

The car has also had a new clutch and new front wheel bearings.

Anyway, I feel like a big barge is missing from my fleet so would like to swap the Alto for something along the lines of an LS400...

It will need mot.
If you are interested, I'm currently in France, should be back about the 24th of the month. I can take more pics then.

I can't remember the model but it has the V6 petrol, black leather. I bought it on a whim as the bodywork is very clean (opinions may vary). Quite high mileage though, 130k I think. Could add £400.

I understand I may be gazumped in the meantime.

There is a guy on a Facebook group saying how he's considering selling his rat look Beetle to buy this and slam/camber/JDM it up.

Sadly I'm in no position to rescue it from this fate, because poor, but I'm sure one of you fuckers has £800 kicking about... Unless FOAD has a weird desire for a 2005 Civic.

He won't buy it, he needs to sell his wreck of a beetle first and he wants £3000 for it so he'll be waiting a long time to sell it.

I think the Cavalier estate is great, quite a rarity now.  Not a great seller IIRC, probably because it has less load space than a contemporary Astra.
