Right, You may remember this from such threads as "Shit car delivery".
It's my nans old fiesta. Shes had it about 14/15 years I reckon and it's done her proud TBH. She's hardly done any miles in it and sadly a lot of those have been done while running it up and down the wall of the garage etc.

I'm not going to try and lead anyone on and say its anything other than shit. She's been taking it to a local garage for MOT and "Servicing" for the last 5 years or so and they've definitely taken into account the fact that she just goes a mile down the road to Asda at 20mph once a week when MOTing it etc. It's got some MOT on it (March next year IIRC but check online to see the score for yourself) but it'll need a tickle with a welder for the next.

It starts fine and runs lovely tbh, gearbox is dead right and the clutch has done maybe 3000 giffer miles. She's not that bad though so I reckon that's only equivalent to about 10k normal miles.
Bub was gonna drive this over to Cavcrafts but I couldn't let him, the radiator doesn't look fit for a long run (however it didn't leak when I left the car idling for 45 minutes). The spare tyre is flat and the charge lead off the alternator is corroded on one end so it only charges at about 5 amps.

It's in Rotherham. It's MOTd. Taxed to get you home and still insured in her name for a bit. Personally I wouldn't want to run it down the motorway or owt but I'm a right worryer. Odds are you've got more balls than I have so it's up to you!

Inside it is incredibly pleasant and honestly I could sit in there and pretend its 1997 for ages. Doorcards and seat trims could do with clipping back in, but nothing is really worn at all. It smells like a 90s ford.

My nan says it's mine for going sorting out the new car and £100 is basically what it stands me at for the trip over to Cavs ( £35 failed train fair, £35 petrol to fill our lasses car, £10 for some flowers to say "sorry I made you follow me back from Chester over Woodhead pass in the rain at night" and £20 on various train / service station foodstuffs)

If I can see that back then I'm happy with that and my nan would more than anything be dead happy to see someone make use of the car.

We had an identical (different numbers and letters on the reg plate) one of these which replaced my wife's diesel corsa after the corsa was written off by a 405 on the M9. Took it all round France, so we did.

It was a great wee car but eventually succumbed to the acid rain.

A dundonian bought it for a haggled £275. Neither of us had a fiver so we tossed a coin and he won, getting it for £270.

Found a pic.

This really needs to go before I sell my camper van, because if I have half a dozen grand in the bank from selling that then I'd be incredibly tempted to waste a load of money and make a "sleeper" out of the fiesta, with a 2.0 zetec and probably a cheap ebay turbo and manifold and some kind of incredibly crude piggyback fueling box etc. Honestly that's the last thing I need to be doing, so please, take this fiesta away from me. Both me and the car are too grown up for that.

Price is negotiable. I would accept payment in beer or one of those massive bags of meat you can buy from a butcher with a headset microphone at a travelling market. My nan could do with a telly upstairs so she would even PX 4 FLATSCREEN TELLY

I've got a spare 37" lcd, but don't want the car, but I want to swap just so I can say I have swapped a car for a telly...

(I'm joking now, but if my car fettleage doesn't go well over the weekend I might come knocking... I can't weld though so feel it would be a bit silly for me to have it...)

I'm a wimp and put a bit more water in the kits when I make it. Tones it down to low 6s

Anyway. Car is Sold! For actual money tho, to doubleyeller. He's probably blezzing up the a1 as we speak.

Pleased to report she made it back safely without issue! The bodywork may be in a bit of a state, but she's in great mechanical order - I'm getting the "keeper" feeling about this one.

Glad you got back OK, mega top marks on remembering to ask about the fuel cap key, I'd have been asking that question 50 miles down the road and then trying to lever the fucker off with a bit of metal I found on the road.

My nan'll be dead happy to know it's getting a bit of attention.

I'm just enjoying the "old small car" deprivations that we forget about these days - ie, no power steering, no horn on the wheel, manual choke, no central locking, no self-cancelling indicators, no electric front windows...............far more involving and fun to drive!
