Junkman
The P6 is in the Rover Sanatorium following the biggest oil spill since the Deepwater Horizon, which was caused by changing the 34 year old oil for fresh one.Again, had I stuck to my initial intention to never change it, this would not have happened, when will I ever learn to trust my gut feelings? The leak was down to a split drain plug washer, so easily fixed, but since the car is there, I wanted some other things to be looked into, but it ran out of petrol,so I drove up there this afternoon and administered 20 litres of BP's finest and now parts are ordered and it will get swiss cheesised everywhere to inject some gooand all that sort of rot, in short, it won't be ready until somewhen next week, which leaves me without a car, since the Talbot has left to better pastures, the 405 ispretty much constantly in use by the Junkwoman and Junkdaughters and the Range Rover hasn't been picked up yet. In midst of all that, I'm rushing from one work meeting to the other, do my tax declaration, apply for a new assignment, nick confidential documentation, answercourtesy calls from insurance companies due to a comparison website I used, I hardly find time to go to the toilet. Ah, the Range Rover. Yes. Turns out the price I got it for does not include a fresh MoT, with a fresh MoT it'd be 300 more, which I find a tad stiff for an MoT, but since they do their own MoTsI bet it will cost me 300 there, so I take it away without a fresh MoT, because I'm not stupid and take it to the Rover Sanatorium, because it turns out they usea LR/RR specialist for all their MoTs and thus I'm guaranteed I'm not fleeced 300 quid for the MoT. It will be a lot more. I could pick up the Range Rover from Keighley tomorrow, since there aren't any work meetings scheduled, because everyone is travelling somewhere andthere is a hurricane hitting Florida, but it turns out Mr Conelrad's Roverama 75 is borked. The plan is thus to use the 405 to pick up the Range Rover tomorrow while the Junkwoman and Junkdaughter #2 are at an eye examination, be back in timefor whatever other chores the 405 is needed for, which will necessitate abandoning the RR where it breaks down, because I'm getting killed if the car is notback in time (to put this into perspective, adultery will be punished with merely two smashed knees and a knife in the back), WCPGW, SNAFU, etc. I think I'm doing everything right. Conrad D. Conelrad
If it's any help, and it won't be because I'll fail, I'm going to get up early tomorrow and see if I can get the Rover to function. Most of it does. Skizzer, oldcars and Junkman

Cleon-Fonte
If all else fails the Sirion (aka The Most Reliable Car in Greater Manchester) can be provided, although it might sully an otherwise interesting collection thread with its dependability. And it probably couldn't tow a Range Rover if* it conked out. Junkman and costadelglosta
Junkman
Apparently collectionisation shall commence in the morning courtesy of the now miraculously unborked Roverama 75. This is going to go well...

Junkman
Right. It functions perfectly well, everything works as it should except for the SRS light, which it switched on in lieu of the suspension warning light.Driving it is a dream, honestly, it's a different world. And it is much more economical than people say it is. brickwall, Lord Sterling, Magnificent Rustbucket and 6 others
