I've had this a few months now and it's been brilliant,So much fun to hoon around in....

But I've just bought something that I may regret because it's far more economical than this gas guzzler!

TBF it's not too bad on the motorway. If you're gentle with the loud pedal and keep your finger away from the 'sport' button it'll do low to mid 30s, but use the performance (mid range acceleration is fantastic for such a cheap mowta) and watch the petrol gauge move rapidly.
It's been totally reliable and never had an FTP...
Taking me 4k miles in approx 2 1/2 months

Good Points

Very fast!
Remapped ecu 265bhp apparently!! (much quicker than my 850 T5 that was supposed to have been chipped to 280bhp)
30mm lowering springs
Bilstein sports shocks
Ferrita stainless steel exhaust (back half)
ABS ecu repaired professionally.
Goodridge front hoses
ATE super blue brake fluid
302 front brakes
Polybushed upper mount and lower tie bar
Handles really really well for a big old barge
Decent set of boots(treadwise)
Mot till Feb 17 WRONG.... 15TH JANUARY... APOLOGIES!
Black leather/suede inserts
Bright headlamp bulbs!
Working load cover
Mileage 185k.

The not so good

Rear bumper has dropped on the o/s though I have 80 odd quids worth of repair bracket and all the gubbins to go with it from Volvo main stealer to effect a repair... just never got around to it.
Both n/s doors are dented
N/s rear quarter has small dent in it too.
Drivers door has surface bleb on it that's been 'treated' !
Both bumpers are badly scratched/ chipped/scuffed
Generally a bit tatty
I find the stainless steel performance zorst far too boomy at certain revs (mid range)
There are 4 small holes in centre exhaust box that are currently bodged with gun gum but could easily be tickled with a welder in 5 mins as there is plenty of metal (box is not rusting away by any means)
Rust blebs on tailgate when I got it which I treated/filled and rattle canned (10 footer repair!) But looks much better now.
Uses a bit of oil when driven at hard/high speeds, but not at an alarming rate (1 litre per 1000 miles approx)
Air con not cold
Cruise control worked when I first got it but not now.
Heater fan has started to have a mind of it's own in the last week or so...
On full blast it doesn't seem to be blowing out much air.
Service light comes on when started up...
So probs could do with a service

That's it really. .. If I think of anything else I will add...

Pics to follow tomorrow ...

  • 2 weeks later...

Thought this had sold but I got a msg this evening to the contrary ....

Not sure if I've talked it down too much !

Just to reiterate ... It's a brilliant car if you can swallow the fuel costs...

It really does handle very well with the mods it's had.

I would drive it anywhere ... Its never let me down and has loads of life left in it ....

I don't think for the money you could match the sheer speed, handling and practicality of this mowta...

Am I sounding desperate ...(smiley fuggin face)??

Well tbh I really need the space as the  collection of my 'new' AS purchase is imminent....

Please someone save me from the 'GumBay' mongtards!

You won't be disappointed.

Folks, I was supposed to go look at this in a day or two but events have overtaken me (details of which will be forthcoming later in the week).

However, I surely can't be the only one here who thinks a turbo-nutter-bastard Labrador hauler for £350 is the bargain of the century? Someone get this bought, and make me look a tit for missing out.
