Might be the thermostat housing? IIRC it's the seal that leaks. Occasionally a smear of Hylomar Blue sorts it out.

Being plastic it warps. In the boot of the Mondeo there's a spare housing, the seal from that might fit.

That'd be funny eh? Parts supplied with replacement car mend predecessor.

I (may) get chance for a look tomorrow.  My track record of doing anything other than ignoring* cooling systems isn't gr5.

*i.e when I start messing I usually make things worse -

Here is what I replaced on the ZT-T

Radiator

Coolant cap

Thermostat (and housing cos you have to)

Steel Crossover pipes replaced for fancy stainless ones

Fan resistor

and it still kept on losing water until it did a big ftp/overheat

Now I have added

Engine

Water pump

Cam belts

Brand new fan assembly

I wonder what will happen if I ever get it all back together.

I'll be paying for chatsharris' tickets on top of mine when it comes to pay - he is away from the computer again for a while.

Naturally, that means that when* he wins, I'll collect it too. For safekeeping, of course.

Where are you and t'Puma located again. I have limited attention span and looking through the threads is beyond my ability at the moment.

I neither/want/need/have the energy for this so I'll have number 22 please.
