After about 18 months with us it's time for the Polo to find a new home. It was bought as a combined stopgap and learner car after the V70 shat its timing belts.
Ever since we got it it's felt like a car that wants to work. Once I had replaced the exhaust, had the tracking set and fitted steel wheels with winter tyres it's just worked.
It passed its MOT with no preparation in March after relocating a headlight bulb. The only advisory was for a front brake hose, which I replaced. Soon after that it passed another test.
In the 5000 or so miles it's done with a new driver at the wheel it's needed the exhaust welded back together and a door mechanism. That's pretty impressive for such an old car.
New discs and pads just before we got it.
Four good Hankook winter tyres
Tracking done on one of those machines that go "bing".
Quite scruffy. Many dents and rusty bits covered with black paint. Some touching up with Storm Grey would improve its ten yard appeal. A bit.
Interior has the same well used look as the exterior.
It has just had an oil change and a new air filter, the fuel filter was changed about 5000 miles ago.
