What about this idiot then - job description given as driver :roll:http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090325/tuk ... dbed5.htmlDrove a BMW 5 series down a footpath because computer told him to.UTTER, UTTER TWAT.

Looking at thart it comes up with "Related Hot Topic: Education"More so than the lady in the MINI (who had a daft if kind of genuine accident) he deserves being sued for the full cost of the rescue mission on top of his exisitng charge. If I'd have been in the recovery team I'd have been tempted to "slip" and let the car plungse down the cliff.

To quote from that article, someone who talks common sense:

"It's all well and good trusting your sat nav but how about trusting your eyes and when there's not a road in front of you, don't keep driving."

I know where that happened as it's not that far from here. To call it a 100ft cliff is stretching the truth a little but then "quite steep hill" doesn't really have the same dramatic effect does it  Still, you'd have thought the daft twat would have realised he'd gone wrong sometime before getting so thoroughly fucked and actually using some sense and heading back the way he came whilst he still could.

BTW the title should read "Why some old women should not be allowed in cars". TBH, once a bad driver, always a bad driver. I don't think you improve or get worse with age. I will be old some day (I think, though not from want of trying to avoid it) and intend to drive as long as I can!
