forddeliveryboy Posted August 20, 2016 Share Posted August 20, 2016 I'm presuming it's the same fellow who posted this pic of a 2cv engine he's been given as the one who mentioned something similar in the grin thread on here - question being, is there any sign of an oil emulsion at the bottom of the dipstick? I've recovered these things before with a combo of heat, coke, acid, other chemicals and patience. Shame to strip a low hours engine (from an era when they were really well made) for the bits which are likely to work with little effort, for the sake of time and ingenuity. The fetishists will be all over the easily-unboltables, it would be good to keep it together. I'd be happy to travel to collect sooner rather than later...
