320touring
Hello folks. That darn 205 seems to be leaking from the base of the fuel filter, and I think the top of the filter is a touch wonky too. Does anyone have one spare that they are able to send me for some coinage? ta muchly!
KruJoe
They're a PITA, aren't they?I'll get our Will to see if he has one when he's back at Castle_Cleland this week. In the meantime, could you put one of those BMW inline diesel filters on it? Chompy used one for a bit ont' Xantia.
Cleon-Fonte
The BX is also currently running one of those BMW filters, and it's an excellent bodge. No leaky housings to worry about and easy to swap over. Here's the filter in question at Euro Crap Parts.
Lacquer Peel
Aye, those plastic fuel filter housings are shits.I would bypass it with a spin on 'Bosch' type filter and head as fitted to millions of European diesels in the 90s, the filters are very cheap and available everywhere. castros_bro
No practical help but the fuel filter housing with pump on XUD underpowered Rover 218D is far superior, have both examples somewhere outside......... here be photos when I've taken them. 320touring

320touring
Amma show it who is boss! £18 sheets at local motor factors and a decent make.. given Peugeot wanted £54 for the lid for the fule filter housing I think its worth a shot. that's tonights fun sorted then:) Lacquer Peel, Cleon-Fonte, KruJoe and 1 other

Cleon-Fonte
take it I can just plumb the bmw filter into the inlet and outlet pipes for the stock filter? Yeah, it's just a direct swap for the old housing. The only thing to watch is that the filter doesn't touch anything it can chafe against, as they can develop holes quite rapidly. KruJoe
Neil, do you use those clear plastic disposable inline filters as well as the big one?I fit one before the main filter to catch any big lumps (big one lasts longer then), also you can keep an eye on what's coming through from the tank. That's my P_Wagon, here's the Xant: Lacquer Peel
