MarvinsMom
today the memsahib and i went over to Grange Over Sands, near Morecambe with the Metro. a round trip of 240 miles, bur we did get ti see EddyRamrod, and the Caddie. As i cannot be bothered with any interesting captions and the like, here is a picture dump of the photos i took today, enjoy!! there was amny other cars and bikes on show, and the weather, while dull was at least dry!! which in England in the summer is something.... Marvin covered the 240 mile round trip without incident, good old Marvin, we think that the car was returning around 52mpg, which at 60 odd miles anour over the pennines was i think good doing! we had a really great day out, and it was fab to see Eddy again.... we will deffo be going again! eddyramrod, Twiggy, Doctormop and 4 others

danthecapriman
Wow, lots to like there. Marvin looks good!Great to see Eddy's Cadillac, and his mates Lincoln looks gorgeous too. I take it Eddy's ok to drive now then? Doesn't that silver mk1 Escort look nice. You never see standard looking ones anymore. eddyramrod
MarvinsMom
that lincoln town coupe is just amazing, and its fully loaded with an 8 track stereo and a factory fitted CB!! i thnought that the escort 1300 super would make a nice change, since it was parked next to 3, 4? escort "mexico's" which seem to be the only varients you see nowadays, where as the super was the model which more people would have owned. i guess that if you counted up the number of "mexico's" or "XR3i" running about and compared it to the number that Ford actually made, then there would be twice as many now compared with the real number built!! eddyramrod and danthecapriman
eddyramrod
Good to see you again too! And many thanks for the lock buttons. I fitted one immediately to replace the broken one. Mike, who owns the Lincoln, has come up with a spare 8-track player, and some tapes, so that'll be getting fitted to Huggy sometime soon. Top man, is Mike Notice there's a black MG Midget hiding behind the gold Healey in one of the photos above? The lady behind it is Gill, who works at the same bakery I do. Neither of us thought to bring bakery treats... (It's her MG, btw) danthecapriman and MarvinsMom

I suspect Savvy might have been alluding to the 2 wheeled content - Just have to make do with that TS185, mate. Was the Perky Super Minx an originally supplied example, do you know? MarvinsMom
i believe so yes, there was a copy of a sales receipt (the original one?) on the windscreen that described it as a diesel super minx.... i had no idea such a thing was possible! but, since the Cambridge, and Marina both had rare diesel options then maybe Rootes wanted some of the '60s Cab market too?
