The CRX is about to be bayed (again). It's got 4 months ticket, but I want to put it on with 12 months to stand a better chance of getting it away. It's going in tomorrow.What would be my status if it failed, but I drove it, relying on the residue of the test period, even if a fail means it's not legally roadworthy?Thank you m'lud

Well if you got stopped by VOSA you'd be in trouble, but then again you'd be in trouble if they stopped you in an "unroadworthy" car even if it hadn't just failed an MoT. I don't think it'd be an issue if you got stopped by the police - normally they just give you a producer and you'd produce your existing MoT at the local pig pen. I don't think the PNC has details of whether a car has passed or failed a test, just a record of whether the car has a current MoT or not. Unless they've updated the PNC since I last looked into it, of course...
