overrun
I think I observed earlier in this thread... "The only classic Toyota is the Celica" was the view of 'specialist' underwriters..... That's me told then I pay £98 per year to insure an MR2 Turbo. tooSavvy

tooSavvy
My 2" Vac gauge will be here soon. I have studied comments on various Toyota site and I'm fairly certain a vac port is to be found, poking out directly below the carb/facing bulkhead. Not using the Dizz vac as it is 'ported' (changes relative to throttle disc position). Looking forward to carb/timing antics... Jim Bell

tooSavvy
New bulbs fitted... you have to remove the 3 pin socket, then pull away a rubber boot [which is a damn tight fit!] and unhook the 'hairgrip' spring. Easy enough on the drivers side but a wee bit tight, behind the battery on the passenger side... tooSavvy
I have a fairly broad hotch-potch of spanners... Mostly noname and rough forge stamped.
