Attention Citroen folk

Wow how far up their own arse are this lot. They invite customers to help them celebrate their aniversary and charge for the tickets. Or are Citroen owners really that rich they will pay it. I know now that if I do add a classic Citroen to the fleet I won't be dealing with this lot

On a related point, I was internet browsing for that rare Citroen the  C6 , and wondered if ownership would be as hateful as the AX1.4 D that I once owned for 5 years.  I also wondered if there were any independents who actually knew them inside out.

I kind of know the answer as they clearly only sold 24 in the UK, and it appears to be full of complex French gadgets, which are likely to be not working.

So if they are charging for tickets to raise money for a hospice (a very worthy cause) why don't they head their poster with "Help us raise money for this hospice" rather than celebrate how wonderful we are for being in business for 25 years.

Because.......

No.  CBA.

BL Autos seem to be regarded as the go-to people for C6s. They really do know them inside out. They also know how to make a Xantia V6 Activa too.

Perhaps it's to stop cheapskates coming along just for a free lunch. People who've paid are also more likely to actually turn up, so you have a better idea of how many to cater for.

The bloke who runs this is a slimy U-kipper/ deluded narcissist. 98% of Citroën people are cunts though, so what do you realistically expect

I'm amazed by this thread, and amazed of the slagging off of the world I've been a part of for, well, most of my life. Sure, there are some twats, but 98%? Seriously? Thanks.

It's got me properly would up I'm afraid. I don't know Rob Moss well, but I DO know that he does a hell of a lot to keep Citroens on the road. No-one else has been rushing to get important bits for GSs and BXs remade. These bits aren't always cheap, but getting parts remade never is. I couldn't give a monkeys about his politics.

.

Following the recommendation of my local A-series specialist & club members ;  I bought from  Chevronics  for the first time this year and will gladly do so again.  I've only heard good things about their expertise, and they had parts for my recently acquired  '74 Ami-Super which were both immediately available  and  competitive priced to other sources.

Additionally - dealing with them (over the phone) was very pleasant,  and their service helpful & accommodating  - in regard to the owner spending time to give me advice,  their calling me back,  and also in their setting things aside and holding them - so that we might best combine the postage cost.

I step forward to publicly endorse  thank them for their generous help and good service.

Furthermore I wish them well for their next quarter of a century and with the fund raising for a most worthwhile cause.  B)

Simple maths innit, 90% of all people are fuggin dreadful. The percentage of people who like old cars and are also dreadful is probably about 95%. People who specifically like one type of old car above all others must be about 96-97% massive bellends, and Citroën people in particular are even less likely to be alright, for some reason (I think it might be the 'wackiness factor'). 98% is not a peer reviewed, quantifiable figure, but I think it's probably near enough to the mark to be considered accurate
