I've got the Citroen bug again, and since getting the zx on the road  the little Punto just isn't getting a look in. 59 Reg, 1.4 petrol, 5 speed, 56 k on the clock, mot November. Factory fitted bluetooth system, remote locking, electric windows, alloys, usb input. Had a new battery in January, as it turned out the new battery I fitted when i brought it was duff. New rear exhaust a couple of months ago. Cambelt and waterpump changed last year at approx 50k. Other than the aforementioned battery problem its been 100% reliable, and since the new battery has been fitted had no more flat batteries. Shiters price is £2100, might take a cheapy p/x  plus cash. I realise that this isn't exactly going to set the forum alight! If it sells I've got my eye on another ZX but this ones an estate. Listed on Gumtree so looking forward to the half price offers!

Well believe it or not Gumtree came through! Sold to the first people who looked at it for £100 less than listed price. Came from nottingham to view and its going to be a 17 year old lads first car as a present from his grandparents. Not bad for a first car, beats my 50 quid ford escort I had as a 17 year old.

Yes originally supplied by new by Arnold Sharks. Chased it around on the internet before I brought it and found it at dealers for sale heading southwards before it went to Auction and the independent dealer I got it from purchased it. Been a genuinely great car but I hated the seats and firm ride. Was a bit of a culture shock after wafting around in a Rover 75 top of the line to a city car,

Probably sold it too cheap lol. We buy any car offered £1500 before seeing the little car park dinks so would have got less than that in reality. Looking on ebay they range from 1800 to 2500 so pitched it in the middle. Still cost me 1500 quid in depreciation in 18 months though, could have bought a few snotters for that. I can now clear the credit card and have about £400 quid for another cheap motor to play with.

Lol, replace "Punto" with "Panda" and that was me a year ago.

Spent the depreciation again on fuggin repairs...

I like these though. My mate has an identical looking one, the odd drive of it now and then keeps my Fiat fancying tendencies at bay for a while.

Had a few good results on there recently.

Same here, I put my last one up on Thursday evening and it was gone by Friday evening.

Although I did get an email from a woman who was immobile and unable to see very well who was trying to buy a car for her cousin. See wasn't able to collect the car herself but would be able to send a courier to collect it at a moments notice, after paying the full price on PayPal.

She didn't get a reply.

Another Gumtree positive experience here - listed my dad's 58 plate Nissan Note on Monday night, had a message within the hour, a viewing Tuesday night and sold. Again, a grandparent purchasing for a grandchild - what are the odds? (Also, what are the odds of a Nissan Note owner who is under 30?)
