Guest
Sounds like some are in a bad way-wonder what estimates they have on prices?
dollywobbler
Annoyingly, I have. Last week. Pah! There goes our exclusive!Quite a sad tale. Apparently, the bloke hadn't had running water for some years and the house literally fell down around him, killing him. A lot of the cars are beyond hope and indeed, a pair of Daimlers and a Humber Super Snipe have already been scrapped...
Spottedlaurel
That place is very near to me, he was something of a local character. Not sure if the place falling in on him is true, but is was certainly a little scruffy. He was actively buying cars until not that long ago, I remember him bidding enthusiastically on stuff at the old RTS auctions at the showground, and he was buying things from legendary local yard Medler's as I once had to pass a message on between them.He used to cycle everywhere, wearing a huge great coat. Amazing that he never got knocked over on the A140 or A47.The place he lived at was amazingly overgrown, right beside a main road yet it was some time before I even sussed there was a house there, let alone someone living there. There were a few old things in the front 'garden'.

I'll never forget seeing him cycling slowly down the A47 from the classic auction at the showground - like you say, it's a miracle he never got run over.
