Negative Creep
Whilst out and about in my Datsun I heard this twice tonight within the space of 20 minutes! To be fair they were kids and if you don't know much about classic cars they aren't a million miles away in terms of looks. A few people have thought it's a Cortina and one little kid even thought it was a Mustang! So what's the best thing your shite has been mistaken for? Louise2cv
Not so much mistaken for, but I was very surprised when a guy walked past while I was cleaning the 2cv and said "that's one of them James Bond cars innit?"Its been called many things, I wasn't ever expecting that though! M'coli
Had similar in the Metro a couple of years ago at Coniston Hall campsite in the Lakes. A young (quite attractive) woman said, "Wow - a, eh, um, Maestro!" I muttered something like "Yes", or "well done", because she had recognised what it was, but just couldn't find the right name for it.

Timewaster
Hmm, yea apparently the CX was in ghostbusters....Lol. That takes me back. My boss had a Cx familliale around 89ish White with huge red stripes running up the bonnet and down the sides with big cross flag logos all over it.It was supposed to be an advert for the shop - It certainly got noticed.Wish I had a photo. If I see him I'll ask if he has any.

Pete-M
(Of the CX)... I think that's actually semi-amusing and at least they've not wrecked it totally...I've always liked the idea of a black, late spec, CX GTi Turbo, dechromed, blacked out windows and slightly larger tastefully expensive alloys.Partly because I'd like to see someone black out the back window in one and do it properly...
