Moogs Motahs - sinking the seat

Very much, but such is life.

Tonight rather than watching the glowing idiot box I decided to change the rocker gasket on puma.

There is an excellent step by step online.

Cover off and injector connections off. ed44022f1fbba6d0bbe5e9e35d1d7d78.jpg

Can cover off. Doesn't look too bad. The focus one was golden where as this look pretty mint.

Old gasket was crispier than a hippys sandals.

At this point it started to rain so no more pictures.

It all runs again now. Coolant is down again so there is a leak from somewhere.

Will work out whether I cba to track it down or just keep coolant to top it up.

Track ready!

  • 2 weeks later...

With all the glass the vel satis is a proper sweat box at the moment. Tried a £28 Groupon air con refill but looks like the system has a hole somewhere.

On the other side of things the shit god's have been at it again.

One working handbrake!

Still flashes up as faulty, but will ignore that bit.

I wonder if filling it with a metric fuckload of rocks improved it.

Elsewhere the puma is still waiting for brakes to be sorted.

And the focus will be replaced by another silver auto car.

Indeed it is.

Needs a good mopping and then polishing. I will have to channel my inner two bucket wrongun

The bumpers look like they have had someone attempt to black them and look rubbish.

Front wing needs reseating as the shutline on the bonnet is off

I am going to stick new set of tyres I bought for the starlet on it and then MOT it.

Took it for a quick blezz round the block and it drives well. Fuel gauge swings more than house with pamapas grass outside.

Very Billy basic inside with a steering wheel the size of Jupiter.

So I have been offered an early Rover 820i for free - H32FRO

Giffer owned and he has had to give up driving.

The description is

Big oil leak, no water in rad due to leak and Suspected hydraulic tappet issue

mot expired in April 2016. 44k on clock.

Based in Sheffield. Can't drive it away as fluids pissing out.

I take it these are worth the square root of FA?

World of pain or savable?

I think the stumbling block will be getting it back from Sheffield.

- post on "70% non-stolen carz 4 sayle or swop Accrington and Blackburn" on FB that you need shite shifting

-allow unlicensed scallies with flatbeds to undercut each other until recovery fee is £20

- acquire 820 and win at life

- (optional) write into Zoe Ball's Saturday PM Radio 2 show for inclusion on her segment "winning at life" to announce your levels of winning at life to the radio 2 listening public

I have asked for pictures which I should get wednesday.

Any idea if I can find out spec/ body style from reg?

MOT history looks ok. Could be a replacement for the vel satis.

In other news had a better look at the corsa.
