Moogs Motahs - sinking the seat

The puma has decided to start welling up recently - with both headlights getting quite misty.

 

Pulled them both off tonight (3 bolt job) and brought them in the house. Idea is to dry them out inside then hopefully that will avoid issues later on.

Took the covers off and bulbs out and stuck them on the radiator over night.

I did it quietly so hopefully missus Moog won't notice.

Puma is moving on to pastures new this week so I needed to make it less tracky

Was windy and moist so perfect weather for rolling around under the car.

 

Up and off

Disconnected the bolts and took it off

The strut has a fair amount of witness marks

As for the car, it feels really soft - can't believe how much difference it made. A lot of the noise has gone from car.

 

It still is knocking when turning left. Must be roll bar or exhaust or right engine mount.

What sort of job is it to remove the headlight covers, please? They're are absolutely rubbish on mine, to the point where it's genuinely dangerous to drive at night, so want to get them off to give 'em a buffing and try and find brighter bulbs.

Piece of pish.

 

Open bonnet. There are two star screws holding in the grill. Undo and take grill off.

 

To on the inside of the headlight towards centre of the car is a twist knob. Twist it to unlock the light.

 

Then there is a screw in the knob to remove and one on the inner wing.

 

Disconnect wiring plug.

 

Gently tug forward as there is a locking grommit.

Delivery plus collection thread. 

Sadly I won't be taking the Brandy bus. 

It will take place over 48 hours, two countries and two capital cities. 

Before I depart I need to do some of this

Had it a year ish.

 

In that time it has had new shocks, new brake lines, rebuilt uprated calipers, new brake lines, new clutch, new discs, stickers, been through 3 sets of brake pads, new tyres.

 

It has been round the bins at Blackburn a few times, around knockhill a few times and done about 7k.

 

Plus taught me that I am not allowed to use impact wrench on nyloc nuts (sorry njgleeds)
