Guest
Right, I'm off out! Original Bloody typical Jag, parks where he sodding likes. Original Best hurry up, train is here any minute! Original Delayed? Time for a cardboard sandwich and weak tea then..... Original Argh wrong platform! Original What am I going to do now, get on the bus? Original Or get on yer bike? Original Maybe I should have just gone on a coach trip instead. Original Ah, I'll go watch a film. Original Or do a bit of shopping. Original Maybe just get an ice cream instead. Original Sod it, it's too busy here, I'm off home. (Credit to the original photographers for all these superb old pics, check out their other stuff - hours of fun!) Renner 6 AND commer walk-thru in the shot.Well spotted Pog, I'd noticed the 6 but missed the walk-thru hidden away in the background. They are a beast of a van those things. So horrible to drive that they're actually great fun.
Spottedlaurel
I'm sure Mash will join me in appreciating the 140J wheel covers fitted to the Marina van.Serious wheels and tyres on the Celica found by Seth. Sufficient to warrant a set of arch flares. Bet the steering was a bit heavy...

Mash
Oh wowzers - I just found some pics of my home town of Beverley form the 80s Shit, I could have walked past this scene when I was 10. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gallery51/ ... 9/sizes/o/ Look there's a Mazda 818 too Dammit Hirst, got me trawling Flickr now! Fuck me Armstong Shock Absorbers offices! I never thought I'd see this scene again. I used to leapfrog those bollards as kid. I literally have tears in my eyes. You silly old sod! Fucking hell I remember that Scimitar too. Shiiiiit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gallery51/ ... 333849842/ Fabulous memories. Shite overload!!! Mash
Shit the bed ZOMG!!!!111!! etc This is Armstrong Massey's, the BL dealership in Beverley before it was bulldozed for a supermarket and they moved to another part of the town. Another scene that I thought was merely consigned to the darkest corners of my memory but here it is in glorious technicolour exactly as I recall it complete with the small Rolls Royce showroom and Clock Garage (Renault) a few doors down. The old guy there had a T-reg R16 well into the 90s. As you can tell I'm a little excited by these finds.

Vin
Love the shots of Beverley (I was born in the Westwood hospital...) Like the lone Rolls Royce signage too. I thought 'Young Sherlock Holmes ' was a great movie when I saw it as a kid. Clockwise was great too.
Guest
Dammit Hirst, got me trawling Flickr now! This is essentially what I end up doing for ages at a time, I'll search for something like "Doncaster 1978" then "Doncaster 1979" and keep going through for ages until I find something to my liking.Generally you'll stumble upon some bus-spotter collection, these tend to be very good for street shots. If you can find it on the DVLA computer it could be in somebody's lock up somewhere. Slim chance I know, but it's not truly dead and gone till you can't find it on the DVLA computer or by putting it through a basic HPI check, to see if the number has been re used as a private plate.
