sutty2006
As some of you lovely shiters have already seen, I bought this with the intention of putting it back on the road and flogging it on. I have been offered a new job, a dream job and im uncertain of what time I will have to finish this. I need to spend time fixing other stuff and preparing for said new career...... so im going to see if I can flog it on in its natural habitat of doom. 1985 Carlton 2.0 GL manual. Weber carb. I have been going though MOT. So far ive replaced the back tyres, wiper blades, got the hand brake working, given it a scrub inside, and changed a fuel pipe. From what I can see it needs for MOT. - O/S/R sill welding- Rear valance welding (small patch)- Front to back brake pipe where it crosses over the transmission tunnel.- Front tyres- Carb setting up. Then it will need battery tray welding and a new battery (the old one blew up) The rest of it is pretty much ok. Its a weekends worth of work that I dont have time to do at the moment. If it doesnt sell, i'll just have to keep plodding on at the jobs every dry sunday...... so it'll be ready next year then! Oddometer says 32k, possibly 132k? I have no idea. It owes me £350. Id like £350 back ..... which is fair price really.....my rekord owes me close to 3 grand after trying to source all the bits for it. PM me for my number.. Located in Stoke on Trent. Not far from j15/16 M6. CheersSutty Bren, Skizzer, Junkman and 7 others
Slartibartfast
What with this being a board viewable to the public I wouldn't be putting my phone number on here, even in semi-obfuscated form. That's a lovely looking car, GLWTS sutty2006

fatharris
I love these, my dad had one for about two weeks, had a MOSS alarm that went off it you just looked at it funny, but the bigger issue was the worn rings leaving a smokescreen!Got a Metro after that, which also lasted two weeks. sutty2006
sunday afternoon bump. Did some welding during last week. Made a repair to the battery try to secure a battery in place. All painted up now. Then I took o/s/f wheel off to check brakes and found a crusty patch of apple crumble so i poked it and made a hole. Wing removed for repair. Got busy with the welder and had a crack at it myself. Welded up pretty good actually. No chasing holes or fire inside! Then sealed up Then painted and wing refitted Still £350....... for autoshiters. It'll go on retrorides and evilbay soon Uncle Jimmy, egg, HMC and 2 others
