It's dark and I'm trying to summon up the energy to get up. Yes, it's collection caper time once more!

The destination is Devon. The purchased steed is Phil_lihp's Honda Prelude in desirable* 2-litre beater slush box form. Stage one of the journey will be 12 miles to Aberystwyth and the start of a long day on the train. I look forward to checking out the vastly overhauled New Street in Birmingham.

Should be collecting the car just after six pm and staying in Devon overnight. Tomorrow, I'll be diverting via Hereford to collect barrels and piston rings for the Dyane. This therefore entirely justifies the trip as I can do two things at once.

Mrs DW really wasn't very happy last night but it appears I'm on safer ground today. Phew. As long as I don't lose a load of money on it...

I'll do my best to live report, but getting photos onto here really isn't easy on my phone. I'll do my best!

God speed, sir.

What a joyously different journey it would be if only I could get my brilliant* plan for a Mumbles-to-Minehead ferry off the ground.

When we moved, there was talk of Swansea to Ilfracombe. Sadly, there wasn't enough interest to make it a go-er.

Currently stuck in Birmingham as the train has been delayed for reasons that are under investigation. In other words, they have no bloody idea. Ugh.

If you're me it is. Especially when blue oval nevadas are involved.

If your 1997 Fiesta is "Powered By Fairy Dust", why the fuck are you panic buying 60 litres of Diesel?

22 minutes late but on a Pendelino. It can make the time up I assume. Next stop is all the way down at Cheltenham. Where I'm meant to change seats slightly.

Whatever you do, don't get out at Cheltenham.  Bad things always happen in Cheltenham, at least they do to me.
