Nottingham in the 80's

The picture of the bus depot is the old Victoria Bus Station, built on the site of the original Victoria Train Station. Used to catch the bus from college to the city and end up there instead of doing double maths, cunningly by putting my finger in the right place when flashing my bus pass I'd get there for free. Used to smell of cider and piss. Now sadly demolished and replaced with a much smaller glass bus station (still smelling of cider and piss) and a multi-storey carpark extension. The one below is chapel bar I think, just off to the right of that photo there used to be a Beatties store selling all kinds of Tamiya stuff - I went and tried out a Monster Beetle and Vanessa's Lunchbox there before my mum did the pikey thing and bought me a secondhand Subaru Brat.

Are the bints 'plymouth brethren'?

More likely to be playing Workhouse inmates for nearby Radio Nottingham's benefit. Not many Plymouth Brethren (or anybody religious except Muslims) in our fair capital...
Had to ax the question, we have loads of 'brethren' here in our slightly provincial outpost, usually to be seen sporting similar attire. When I were a lad, the folk next door were of that persuasion, the kids loved coming round our gaff coz they got to watch telly....
