Mistubishi Colt 1995 £scrap value

I have been contacted by the owner of a battered Colt asking me how to scrap it.  I'm not sure what they think that means ££ wise.

Car is in St Johns Wood, London.

Anyway it has done 40K miles and apparently has a recent battery and exhaust.  From what she says it sounds like the clutch has gone in the sense that it isn't releasing, rather than any slipping problem.

She says she can get it into gear if the engine is stopped, but if it is running it won't go into gear.

I saw the car a few months ago because I was asked to assist because the bonnet flipped open on the motorway.  I removed the bonnet and put it upside down on a conveniently abandoned mattress and jumped up and down on it until it was kind of the right shape, and then refitted it.  The reason it flew open was because the slam panel that the catch is on was pushed back a bit in some kind of minor knock and it wasn't really closed or even on the catch.  It pulled back out easy enough though and I got it closing properly.  The headlamp fit also wasn't great.  That said it wouldn't take much to get it back to the right shape as nothing structural was bent, I just couldn't be bothered.

It also had a dented tailgate.

I don't remember any rust but I wasn't really looking.

If someone wants this for next to nothing let me know I will put you in contact with the owner.

To help a prospective buyer: this sounds just like a broken clutch pressure plate. Actually, if you manage to revmatch it, you could force it into gear with the engine running.
