Cavcraft
Very late (Dec) 2001 Vectra 2.2 petrol SRi 150 hatchbackMOT 19th JanuaryTaxed to get home89,000 miles (will check MOT history to see if it's gen, but it certainly looks it.Really really clean car has half leather seats and all that sort of caper.I reckon it'll want pads minimum for MOT, the warning light is on on the 'computer' and I'm sure the brake light came on when driving today. I've topped up the brake fluid so will see what happens. Front bumper I reckon has had a very low speed nudge as the osf stays on the gaps aren't 100% and I think it isn't clipped in properly. Small hole in rear bumper possibly one front fog light lens broken. Really does seem a tidy car, obvs anyone is welcome to thorougjly inspect it. In Chester, £170 can take it, I'd be amazed if it wasn't worth more in bits eddyramrod, dave21478, oldcars and 3 others

sierraman
I've gambled £170 on worse bets. Could be easy on the road with 12 months for under £300! Road tax might be a killer with the 'what it doesn't cost £30 a year to tax!?' Brigade. But at that money who gives a shit!

beko1987
Mileage seems genuine, was 81,297 in Jan 15. If it wasn't for the OMGMPG I'd be interested in this, need a bigger car this year
midnite
what a steal, i can remember selling these 2nd hand off the forecourt and you couldn't get enough of them, saloon, estates, v6s, lot of car for no money.

midnite
its because everybody has been brainwashed into thinking that if you don't buy a ds3 or bmw 1 series on 36 month pcp at £3k down and monthlies of £296 plus vat for 6k miles a year then your life maybe in danger driving an old car(which they mean an 11 plate car) Jerzy Woking and The Reverend Bluejeans
The Reverend Bluejeans
It's also the OLD SHAPE which of course instantly makes you a complete loser. When I think back 30 or 40 years, not many folks had a new car. Everyone drove an old 1100 clinging to an MOT. Fuck me, even Denis Thatcher had a Cortina V / '80 Estate. purplebargeken
Hmm, tempting but there is no way I could drive that distance in a manual car
djimbob
Hmm, tempting but there is no way I could drive that distance in a manual car Me too, also our kid has one of these with big end bearings gone, in an auto I think, in Newcastle, but on a 2005 or something, could have pillaged it for bits! However cost of getting the two together in Leeds, then finding out nothing is compatible, is prohibitive I suppose Need a bigger motor soon, have found the Pug 205 coupe and Atoz five door just not family friendly for supermarket and motorway trips hauling fat people and pushbikes etc, so anyone who fancies a swappage for a luxo barge or people carrier in an auto gissa pm Cavcraft
RoadworkUK
Far kennel, £170?! That's, like, free of charge! When you mentioned that you got it for a low price it must have been pence. Cavcraft
EssDeeWon
That is cheap, and you can be like David Brent selling cleaning stuff out the boot and make the £170 back in a few days, Cos Sales Rep Car. Would. But can't.
Mr_Bo11ox
F**king Nora Batty, talk about tempting, how can that only be £170? I bet it will hammer along at 100mph all day long. Nnnnnnggghhhh!!!!! UltraWomble and Cavcraft

Pillock
Was it this shape Vectra that Clarkson claimed to be dead dull and boring and instantly millions of people were sat down the pub talking about how dull and boring they were? Mine was fine. Found it more comfy, faster, better handling and nicer looking than the Mondeo it replaced, perfectly acceptable transport. dave21478

sierraman
I wouldn't have thought it was that bad on the juice... I mean it's very unstressed and the old vectras hardly a leviathan by modern standards. I'd think knocking about you'd see 30mpg no problem. I'm subconsciously talking myself into this. rantingYoof
If you were within half an hour of me I'd have that, hurl it at my local friendly mekanik, get 12 months on it, and then find somebody in my circle of family/friends who wants/needs a very cheap, decent runabout. As it is, GLWTS. Really nice colour for a Vectra.
