2003 Clio 1.6 (petrol) Privelege

MOT November 2016

Taxed to get you home

70,000 miles showing

Alloy wheels and all that bollocks

Fancy USB CD player

Seems to drive ok

Needs an almightily good clean inside and out. I might/not do this myself (at least the outside)

Dent in bonnet

Think there's a dent in n/s/r door

No parcel shelf

'Door open' light is on and interior light stays on when driving but does extinguish a minute or so after you get out of car. Common problem, Google seems to suggest finding which door sensor it is and cleaning it.

I think the 'service' light is on, my son has lent his FCR out, but if it comes back in time we'll try and get the light out.

Waiting for V5 to come back (you might need to apply for it, will see what happens) and MOT, though the MOT should be here soon and can be checked on line anyhow

Feel free to come and have a good drive of it and check it over etc.

This car is NOT perfect or immaculate LOL M8

I think it's worth about £275-£300 all day long (and more besides if anyone wants to turn a few quid out of it) so I'm open to genuine swap suggestions, vehicle related or not.

Natch, I don't want any games consoles. mobile phones or pets etc.

I'm in Chester.

Barbara Lee Travis always looks so sad. It's almost like one of those tear-jerking charity ads you get at Christmas.

"Babs only has the inside of a Clio to live in. Give her something more this Christmas. Just £800 could rehome her in a Calibra and make her smile."

Naturally, I'm a cold hearted bastard so AAAHM OOOHT.

I even got a random chav in in the background!

Electric sunroof works (it goes up and down, anyhow) and I can confirm the car goes VERY rapidly. I can also confirm it needs an exhaust rubber mount for the backbox.

That looks a great car for no money, I bought a 1.2 Dynamique model brand new in 2004 that same as that it was a lovely car but a little underpowered so I imagine the 1.6 would be much better.

Agreed! I had a 1.2 Dynamique 2004 model in 2007 and it was a brilliant wee car but needing a bigger engine. Privilege is a "posh" spec for a Clio I think, looks a bargain for the money as long as the dephaser doesn't need doing as thatd cost more than the car itself!

I bought a 2005 model from Carcraft back in 2009 on extended finance and the story went viral.

Clean MOT back in Nov too

  • Tyre worn close to the legal limit both front (4.1.e.1)
  • Offside rear brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.b.2c)
  • Offside headlamp deteriorated but light output not reduced (1.7.5a)

Tempted, but there's nothing wrong with the car I own...

Swap for a Miele S7 and Hoover Aquamaster?

I don't know what either of those are sorry, but it sounds like it should be German for Miley Cirus playing a tune on my blue veined piccolo as she's doing water sports.

If I had Miley Cyrus you would be welcome to her, hateful creature!

I am having naughty thoughts about swappage for the ZX, but the increase in fuel consumption and the fact that you would probably need money your way to make it fair puts me off slightly
