Always a classic, I remember it from when it was first on. I have that book too... 8)

I got the dvd of the series that was burned by a member...(checked my PMs...it was '109landys3' during February 2012...)

Hilarious as they are, the biggest laugh out loud moment for me was during the end credits of the 'families' one, when one of the Landrover kids tells the story of one of them pissing their pants....from the mouths of babes and all that...

BeeJeebus, apart from the odd exception, the mk2 Cav era of dailies really didn't hang around, did they?

I've got the same DVDs also from 109landys, in fact, I might even have it twice...

Good to know the Merc is still going. Sounded good even for a 2.0.

There was a book? WANT!

That salesman with the Maestro Clubfoot diesel is an all-time classic. If you don't have time to watch the lot, just watch this one. It's fab. It still makes me cry with laughter.

Take that tie off. Yes, take it off...

I was about to say that the world was very different when this was made, but it actually wasn't. With just a few minor amendments, it can be brought up to date.

'Like most reps, I'd hang my coat up in the back turn my fog lights on; basically as a status symbol'

'I'll try to be as inconspicuous as I can, even to the extent of removing my tie fake tan, trying to look like Mr Average, a family man, rather than a company car financed BMW driver'

OMFG

What a bunch of vacuous turd burglars.  Having watched that whole film I now want to self harm...

I cannot decide which of them was the worst, the vapid ball-licker in the XR2i, the potato headed monkey in the Cavalier at the half hour mark, or the loathsome self important lady boy in the BMW...

Remember watching it when it was originally broadcast, generally a good little series and confirmed what I'd experienced via work with salesman, bunch of thick, pretentious, self-absorbed, arrogant, egomaniac twats that I was right to hate (& still do).

Strange that last year when I first saw the series I looked up the white XR3 cabriolet in this clip and it was SORN with its MOT having expired in May 2009 (as I remember random stuff like this), however looking up on the new MOT site it hasn't been MOT'd since August 2007 at 42k or perhaps 142k (no advisories) - sitting in someones garage?

Whereas now all that time would be filled with some craayzee guy shouting wooo-hoooOOooo like he's won the fucking football pools, but all he's actually done is driven past a tree or something.

I imagine life on the road in a Maestro diesel is a lot like time spent in silence, looking at absolutely bugger all.
