Guest
Good idea from DC in the other thread, why don't we post up our current shite? I bet there'll be a few surprises especially since there's been some new members on. Here's anything I've got that I could consider Autoshite..... 1983 Daihatsu Charmant 1300 LE: My special and absolute favourite car, if I had to only have one it would be this. 1982 Colt Galant 1600 GL: Daily driver, been through a few hands on here. Like it very much. 1985 Mazda 323 Station Wagon 1500: Bit scabby but gradually getting tidied up, this is going to be my main backup vehicle. It is rear wheel drive with leaf-springs for added useful hauling abilities. 1982 Datsun Stanza 1.6 GL: Nearly extinct saloon version, work in progress, currently with water leaking into it. It's going a tad mouldy inside due to this, going to sort it all out this weekend before it gets too much. Not as bad as it looks. Let's see some other shite then. 155V6
Here's my MG 2-seater,sorry it's not red with chrome wires It's probably a bit new for some people, but it's done 141,000 miles & does have a K Series that sounds like a diesel Here's my Fiat,it's locked away until I get a job For added points, the numberplate comes from a Talbot Horizon
CortinaDave
Currently: 83 Capri 2.8 i. dented door, rattly exhaust, misfiring engine, whining gearbox 01 Saab 93 convertible... maybe a bit new but causes autoshite levels of grief thanks to monster miles and the rubbish care taken with it by its previous owner ..(amusingly Michael Fish the weather man) Dodgy throttle body, rattling passenger window, no handbrake, knackered SID display, crunching noises from underneath 79 Cortina 2.0S.. er actually this one is pretty good. 99 Cougar 2.0.. broken sunroof, cold heater, comedy electrics
dollywobbler
My cars don't necessarily look shite, but are when you get in close. New Rover. Has a few heritage issues - mainly exhaust knocking, which makes it sound very shite! Subaru. Not very shite at all, but not very exciting either. Rusty front wings for shite points. 2CV. Looks very shiny, but I do stupid things in it, so the bodywork is now shite. Lots of rust. Here it is stuck in a forest in Yorkshire. Even wife power couldn't help me this time... Mini. Working quite well now, but has been quite cranky for most of the winter. More fettling going on here. Wife again. Well, it's her car and her hands are smaller than mine! That's it currently. Next hankering is DAF shaped...
pogweasel
owing to current budgetary constraints, I am disappointed to announce a rather poor showing of 'shite' from the Pog household. Given previous form this is quite embarrassing: Sensible. Even moar Sensible. And that's it. Oh for the halcyon days of multiple heaps. Sorry. technically I also own a derelict Rover P6 as well, which was last spotted fizzling slowly into a muddy field somewhere in rural cambridgeshire....[/img]

Ratdat
The current fleet in chronological order (small pics to keep post size sensible!) Some work, some don't. The R15's, the red Cherry and probably the Terrano will be going this year but the rest are keepers. The blue Cherry may end up getting the chop for rebuilding my ever so rusty cherry Europe but I don't really want to as it's a mega early one. I'll probably part with the Pony pickup in a few months too. 1962 Datsun Bluebird estate 1968 Renault 16TS 1968 Datsun 1000 estate 1971 Datsun 510 1973 Renault 15 TS (and a TL too) 1976 Honda Civic 1200 1977 Nissan Cedric 2800 GL-E hardtop 1977 Datsun 160J SSS (and one for spares) 1980 Renault 30TX 1983 Renault 11 GTL 1983 Datsun Cherry 1.3 DX 1983 Renault 5 TL 1984 Datsun Sunny pickup 1984 Nissan Cherry 1.3 GS 1985 Nissan Cherry Europe GTi 1989 Hyundai Pony Pickup 1989 Nissan Terrano R3M 2.7 Turbo Diesel 2002 Renault Vel Satis 3.0 DCi Initiale I think that's it at the moment... MrRegieRitmo
To Ratdat - love your yellow Civic! What happened to your green Colt?Have you got any other pictures of the Sunny Pickup? Seems unfamiliar to me, was it based on the early 70s Sunny? (B210?) in which case it must have been a long running vehicle! Rarer than that mid 70s red 610(?) pickup that was spotted down here somewhere? You have the R30 TX already! Was there a thread I've missed about you collecting it / receiving it from Pete M?(Sorry for all the Qs but you have such an eclectic mix of vehicles!) MrRegieRitmo
isnt the cherry europe a alfa arna or whatever they were calledThey were available as either, in both cases I believe, an Alfa engine / mechanics in a Nissan body....Was there any difference other than the badging?? Which is rarer now?

(Sorry for all the Qs but you have such an eclectic mix of vehicles!)The green Colt went to Jon Rodwell over in Shrewsbury. I did a bit of a trade for the Pony pickup with him. The Sunny pickup is based on the B110 Sunny (model before the 120Y) which came out in 1970. The pickup version was made from 1972 up until January last year. Since 1996 production was only in South Africa which is where mine came from. I've been restoring mine for a little while. Should ne done this year. This is how it looks at the moment... This was it when I got it... I used to have a 620 pickup, two in fact but both of those are with Jon now. Cool trucks but once i got the Sunny there semmed little point in having a 620 as well. I picked the R30 up from Pete a little while back. It's a lovely motor. Towed it home behind the Vel Satis which coped admirably. I did fail to post anything about it and as yet haven't even got round to putting it on my website but shall do soon. I'm currently trying to remove the fuel tank as the captives have all bust loost When I eventually get the tank off I'll flush it out and fit a new primer pump and main fuel pump as both have jammed solid. Then I should be able to get it running. I'm off to a show/autojumble in Reims in a couple of weeks so I hope to find a few bits and bobs for it there. Here's a pic of it in transit back from Liverpool... The Cherry Europe is basically a re-badged Alfa Arna. It's about 95% Alfa Romeo and is made in Italy. Even the Chassis plate says Alfa Romeo and the glass, which theoretically is identical to a Nissan Cherry is also Aldfa marked. The only places it says Nissan is on the badges. The Nissan version was a UK only thing, primarily because at first Alfa Romeo GB refused to import the Arna so it got sold via Nissan dealers instead. Guest
This is my current car fleet Before and after, 1984 Fiesta 1.1 Ghia which I stripped for restoration in early 2005 and have stored since, this latterly was registered back on its original UK 'B' plate and had a mk2 XR2 engine which made for quite a nice sleeper. Before and after, XR2 which I acquired as an ex-track day shell (dunno why really, it was free) but whose previous owner ran it with a highly tuned turbo engine in. I was going to bung in a 1.1 to get it mobile again but again it's sat in store since spring '05 Recently acquired current shite, this one's an early ('84) mk2 XR with nothing structural needing doing apart from repairs to the shagged roof panel - horribly corroded round the sunroof. Gradually putting it back to showroom condition. Paid £560 - reasonable for one these days? I also have a 99 Mondeo, but that's of no real consequence here
Pete-M
I've not got a pic of the Escrot, but here are a few of my bits'n'bobs. BMW 325i Touring auto.
