They_all_do_that_sir
Had it been a 407, all the airbags would have went off, the ecu would still be on fire and the turbo probably would have blown too for good measure. Being a proper car, fixable with some actual tools, it lives to terrorise walls again Sent from my F3211 using Tapatalk beko1987, oldcars, Dick Longbridge and 11 others

vaughant
Patina on classic cars is ok but in my opinion a sharp coat of paint always looks so much better. Matte black is grim unless it came matte black. Junkman is right on a modern car like this (albeit 20 years old) especially one in such good condition it needs to be painted otherwise it just comes across as scrap, attracts the (unwanted) attention of the 5-0 and makes it a wholly unpleasant sight on the roads. Junkman
If the car were oozing old money shonkiness, I'd not paint it.But the car is otherwise way to clean to wear mismatched panels. It just looks ASBO. oldcars, D Spares & Tyres, Squire_Dawson and 2 others
Lacquer Peel
Faded mid-20th century car for sale on eBay, seller mentions "could do with respray" = DO NOT PAINT Modern* car with mismatched panels after crash damage = DO PAINT It's quite simple. chatsharris
Then we ran into some kind of parade. Huh, I used to live in that yellow building next to the pub. It was my first place after moving out, I left there because I kept getting parking tickets! Conrad D. Conelrad and Junkman

D Spares & Tyres
As an aside, I once saw a Fiat Uno that had been given replacement panels in a different colour. It was red once but every bolt on panel was white. All it needed was a bit of white on the rear quarters. The roof would have looked fine in red Lacquer Peel, egg and Junkman

Junkman
Have some mismatched panels. Oh, and wheeltrims. And a bent front numberplate. And shonky stickers. Conrad D. Conelrad
You'd save a lot of money if you'd adopt my approach to paint rectification. That is, to talk about doing it a lot but never actually do it. Junkman, egg, Magnificent Rustbucket and 6 others
Junkman
I'm not doing so many things. Junkman
I don't doubt that.My tame painter has long since learned to be accustomed to Junkmanish demands. When I saw him today, he was busy with one of those Ovlov Cinderella coffins, you know what I mean.I really was envious there for a second.
