2MB
Very little chance of claiming anything back from VW with this one, but never say never. 1.4 8v petrol, 16v tail lights (+40bhp). White with minor ginger bits and scuffs. 11 months MOT. Almost new front tyres. Tax to get you home. It has been my girlfriend's car for the past 10 months, never had an FTP. I've changed the gearbox oil, engine oil and coolant and fitted a new thermostat. Very recent new exhaust. It doesn't leak or use any fluids, drives as unremarkably as intended. Driver's window chocked up, everything else works. Central locking, electric mirrors, erm rear headrests, struggling here. Interior very good apart from hole worn in drivers bolster.Complete spares car on my drive. Take what you want but it's green and has the same bolster wear.Shiter's price: £350 dugong and CGSB

Anglevan
Same as the one I have, what's left on the spares car? Could do with a few minor bits and live in same area
Coprolalia
Had a golf with this engine as my second car. Essentially same running gear.Did 70k miles at 45MPG, only ever had one FTP - failed coil. £70 and back on the road. Service costs are cheap, the mechanicals are simple and they're well galvanised.Bombproof motoring.
gadgetgricey
We've got the same one but an Auto. it has the BEST heater ever.My daily driver is a Xantia, but will take the Polo when the weather is bad as its pumping out hot air within a mile. I'm a distance away, but if your spare car is dragon green and has passenger door intact with working central locking and window? We may need to talk. GLWTS. Ours is really a second car and it amazes me that it can be left for months and then just starts up and drives without any issues, Weirdly they have quite a big boot as well. 2MB
It does indeed have a brilliant heater, especially now the engine temp stays bang in the middle of the gauge with the new thermostat. Spare car is pistachio green with non working central locking and electric windows. Most parts are still there apart from the headlights, indicators, front wings, grille and crash bar. The front end is now starring in a West End theatre production, as they do. Mercrocker that is a great idea with the doors, but might make me want to keep it.... Matt
Swap the doors over on the cars - instant Polizei for the Pineapplers.... I've totally not thought about making one. I don't have the make and part numbers for the siren/light units either. Nope. Definitely not.

2MB
Ps I may have shamelessly pitchedThe possibility of a POLIZEI REPLICA to the masses, even though it would severely compromise my bunded veg oil storage facility if the lucky* winner* was so inclined. 2MB
It's finally happened. After many successful eBay sales I've come into contact with a fucknugget who wasted my Saturday, ignored calls and texts when I went to pick him up and has now decided it's too much hassle to travel 30 miles to collect. Usual stuff. £300 takes it
CortinaDave
These are really good wee things in my experience. £300 with 11 months ticket seems a no brainer really as a winter beater. Shame I've no need for one at the mo! dugong
