Were you going by the temp gauge? If so don't bother, it sits in the middle up until about 120*c on these.

Best off using the on-dash diagnostics trick for the actual coolant temp.

I can share how to do this if you wanna know, takes about 30 secs 8)

I've seen a back plate that bad on a 45 year old Land Rover but didn't expect it on something this new.

Well done for saving.

Changed a pair on a 54 plate Vito last year ! Customer wondered why his handbrake was shit . Shoes were loose on the bottom of the drum/disc

One of the funniest things ive read on here - RIP Dave

Quote

Brilliant... late in for lunch I fired up an off-brand pot noodle and while carrying it to the lounge successfully spilled it all over myself, burned the piss out of my hand, soaked my phone with the juice, soaked a load of expense receipts I was also carrying and it hit the hall floor and just fucking exploded....it was literally dripping from the ceiling in my newly decorated hallway. The obvious and considered reaction was to throw an immediate, massive paddy and boot the fucker down the hall while screaming, which has made the whole scenario about 18 times worse.

Right the ZT has now got a full mot. All the jobs have been done but don't expect new discs as I just swapped the whole rear brake set up with a good used one. One of the back plates was new and although not perfect the discs etc are usable. It had to have a new spring as both the springs on the 75 were broken as well. The rear box is from the 75 so doesn't look so good but does the job. All water leaks are cured and the carpet has been replaced so is no longer soggy. £595 buys it or make a near offer. The stupid rear lights have also gone in the bin.

I really should of bridged this fucker. It turns out the lying bitch I bought it from neglected to mention it was a cat C write off back in July. I have only found out now the new V5 has arrived with a damage marker on it. It doesn't effect the car at all just one last thing to piss me off. I expect she was lying through what was left of her teeth about the cambelt as well. Anyone want to give me my money back on it. Currently standing in at £450.

For about £25 you can get the paperwork sent out for a small claims court jobbie for claims up to £300.

Don't even have to follow it through, be worth the £25 just to see the bint panic that it was missold and she'll have to scrub up and go to court.

Well it seems that these things are seriously unwanted. I put the 75 on ebay for £29.99 under parts as it cost less to list it and not a single bid. So hopefully car take back are coming to give me £25 for it. The ZT is on ebay here http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1586.l2649

If there are no takers by the time the Peugeot 405 Raffle has finished I will raffle it. If anyone wants anything from the 75 then be very quick I need the space and first person to get here with 25 quid can have it.

Tell me about it. The mot still runs unti april and it could even be driven away with a bit of messing. I drove it about 150 miles before stripping the bits I wanted off it.

The ZT owes £470 at the moment, hopefully I can get a couple of quid back by scrapping the 75. Just been offered 30 quid for it so it will probably be going within the next 24 hours. So the ZT can go for 450 to anyone who can collect it quickly. I need space more than anything else as the Hearse is still here as well.

Do the 75 is Mot'd but needs work to drive away?

The 75 has had the interior stripped and the handbrake mechanism removed. It would drive away if the drivers seat was bolted back in, the headlights plugged back in and bumper put back on a bit better. Car take back are supposed to be collecting it and giving me 25 quid but they haven't bothered to call back yet. If they don't have it then I have a bloke round the corner said he will give me 30 quid so it should hopefully be gone by the weekend. Which is what I need I only have 4 parking spaces and they are all taken now as the hearse still hasn't been picked up.
