Angry Sheep
Thoroughly enjoyed my first Autoshite meet, thanks all for making me feel welcome. Really enjoyed the mix of cars. Here are a few of my slightly average phone pics... Looking forward to the next one danthecapriman, Parky, EssDeeWon and 6 others

oldford
Looking at these photos I'm even more gutted I wasn't able to make this. Just to make you feel better: You missed a cracking good day out and should have been there purplebargeken, alf892 and trigger
seth
A fuggin' great huge hornet landed on the radiator grille of the Rover 12. It was enormous and looked like it could wrestle the keys from any of us. Confused because not Wolsely. alf892, Shep Shepherd, Parky and 3 others

BorniteIdentity
Sorry to have missed it - ruddy hate working on the sabbath. A festive curry would be an excellent way to see the year out. It's what Joseph and Mary would have wanted. Problem is: the only thing dirtier than a daytime curry is a sober kebab. But at night, I won't be able to fap ove... I mean enjoy the cars. inconsistant
What this thread needs is more photos the same as all the others: Nearly didn't make it. Being a bit of a mechanical dick I jet washed the car and got a bit close to the engine bits, which then refused to start due to over moistness. All good in the end though.Agree with all others, it was great to meet some likeminded souls, to find out who you really are and what you look like, and to get several simultaneous under bonnet diagnoses was a rare treat. Will replace that split hose and feed back. Thanks for spotting it, er... I think it was Oldford. Great to see EssDeeWon's primrose 75, a lovely car and you definitely did the right thing getting it... also a bit weird to find out you're not in your late 50s as I'd imagined. RobT's Daimler was a bit of a treat, as was Alan's Mazda, Seth's hunter, that lovely Metro... actually for a small gathering it was an amazingly diverse group of cars. Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone. EssDeeWon, oldford, Angrydicky and 3 others
EssDeeWon
Thanks for the Shitannia cassette tape, Fleetwood Mac played all the way home, I now have that song 'Caroline' in my head. inconsistant

purplebargeken
The bollocks it is I think the swear filter died very shortly after AS became sentient. Thus enabling AS'ers to be able to vent swearily without any form of redress. AS is catharsis personified.
danthecapriman
Small shiters meet? Looks more like car show material! All fantastic looking cars there. I should make the effort to come to one of these meets. Essex isn't all that far away from Hampshire! I could of lowered the tone of this event considerably and brought my filthy Granny, or maybe bring the yank on the next one if I get it back in time. Parky
Loved the fact that Alan's Mazda has the firing order cast into the cam cover - never seen that before. Don't know why more manufacturers don't do useful stuff like that, such as "no, the oil goes in here, screen wash is on the left" and so forth. So how many of us were on eBay last night checking out 924's and Metro's??? Can't have just been me! Angry Sheep, oldford and trigger
inconsistant
Alan's Mazda has the firing order cast into the cam cover - never seen that before. Also on 924. Another reason to get one! Parky and oldford

inconsistant
Oops just realised I didn't pay for Dartford crossing on Sunday. Just paid online without drama, was expecting fines and frustration but just the £5 to pay for a 'return journey'. Seems easy enough.

purplebargeken
Like most things it is good to plan with time to spare. October seems to be hurtling past and Nov is only round the corner. 9 weeks till Christmas (I think). Any preferred dates to start us off?
