CortinaDave
Harsh.Theres a whole mondy diesel on flea bay for 99p at the mo but I've no idea where castle douglas is... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1997-FORD-MONDEO- ... 240%3A1318
whitevanman
Dumfries...............and a bit beyond, It apears that Mk1's had a cable clutch up to 94 then went to Hydralic and when the mk2's came out the went to a wire gearchange rather than the old rod style, so there is very few years for which I can use, might have found one on the 'bay, but failing that the Mondy is in for the chop.... such a waste
trigger
I thought it was just the Mk2 Mondeo that had hydraulic clutch and the Mk1's were all the same, Though i could be wrong.Would of thought you be able to get a mk1 box for peanuts as most of them have rotted away before the mechanics went wrong on them. Pillock
I had a Mk1 Mondeo, last of the run registered Feb 97. It had a hydraulic clutch. It went to the scrapyard for £102, with a fully working gearbox about 18 months ago. Sorry!
whitevanman
trouble is all the yards have dumped the Mk1 stuff, so almost nobody has anything for them.......sadly I think they are the best looking of all the mondeo range, just didn't take chocolate diffs into account
Owain-328i
Surely the MTX-75 gearbox from Zetec'd (and maybe v6) engined 2.0 mondeos will be more than ample
