Semi-C
I hadn't got round to taking any pics of the most recent acquisition, until this weekend.. Tis a 1.6 GXi Applause in manual flavour. You are spared a collection thread as it was delivered to my house by it's former keeper (many thanks Rachel). It was a car I used to see being piloted around Bury by an elderley gent for years but recently, his daughter had taken to using it instead.A chance encounter allowed me to ask about the car and I was glad to hear that it would soon be surplus to requirements.Having secured it's future and received it unto the flock, very little else have I to report about it: It has MOT (until next year I believe), it drove ace on the test run I had in it, all of it's things work and Mrs -C doesn't fancy it as a Micra replacement. Oh..... I think it looks alright. The Moog, cros, garethj and 24 others

bub2006
I'm sure mine didn't look like that, did they do a facelift? Mine was a h plate 1.5 manual. Looked like a saloon but was actually a hatch. I found mine to be very nippy for what it was and was fully equipped too. Did find the steering light in mine though. Tended to wonder in cross winds above 60. Also the clutch was really light too. Don't seem to be many left now though. Looks smart though.
xtriple
My wife had one that she pinched off me that I bought to flog on. She bloody loved it (the car you filthy minded sods! ) and was really upset when it died. I put it through Exeter auctions as a 'bereavement sale' which wasn't a total lie as it was definitely, fucking dead! Vince70
Semi-C
Howay all, I've been quiet with any picture/update action since my change of employment, piloting artics through the night inhibits my internet access (that and I haven't got a PC at home or a laptop, I used to hijack my office computer for any picture posting) Anyhow, essexman & I had been planning to exchange Applause for Transit so I taxed and insured the Diehateful last weekend with a view to trucking down sometime this month. And then I drove it 14 miles. 7 miles in, the temperature gauge began its ascent. And kept on rising. Made it home but...there was a bong like bubbling from under the hood when I switched the ignition off. Following a brief search it was agreed that most coolant had vanished and the bit that hadn't now resided in the sump. The optimistic side of me threw some K-Seal in. No score. So now I have an problem. Where I live, I can't keep excess vehicles. The driveway at my papa's is fully overstocked. Overflow storage: Non existent. Need for non-HGF'd conveyance: Critical. I've been offered a tested up Fiesta which could solve the conveyance issue. What to do with a problem like the Applause? If any shiter wants to come and retrieve it, they're welcome to it for no money. I don't want owt for it, but if the new keeper wanted to make a donation of their choice to Autoshite's running costs that'd be ace. Ideally, it needs to be picked up this week or it may end badly for the poor beggar. TL:DR... Free Daihatsu Applause, must be collected super sharpish. Please help me and save it's life. garethj, Lacquer Peel, Cavcraft and 2 others
Semi-C
This is too far away or I would save it gladly, It's an awesome little thing .... But alas I live in the north east and don't fancy towing that far Thankyer Sir. It is awesome. Even with the HGF it's fair rapid, all it's trinkets work, manual cog swapper...it's got the lot. If you could provide enough water, you could drive it back (maybe) (tis unlikely that much water exists in all honesty)
Semi-C
I'd say it's buoyant to barren range is about 15-20 miles. I didn't hold much hope out for the K-Seal, have never had any success with it before. The motor factors I scored it from had an "ultimate" version of K-Seal too but that was almost as dear as a Harris built xflow. Gutted my £15 roll of the dice was a 3 when I needed a 6. My change of occupation has whisked me away from a fabricators workshop where repairing this could've been undertaken, now any time I'm not driving an Actros I'm asleep, making my pack up or commuting. carlo
'Tis what looks like a small 4 door saloon so must be great. Our dealarship had a franchise for these in the early nineties, think we sold about one of them and that was the accountant's demo...
