andrew e
So there was a big PSA "C" car 30 years earlier! Seems maybe the old V6 wasn't originally invisioned, a mistubishi six was!

STUNO
How is it that the 1.8 and 2.0 4's were ok, but the mitsi 6 was underpowered and unrefined.Oh ---I forgot about political moves
Ratdat
I would have thought there would be little in it between the Mitsubishi Saturn 6 and the PRV V6 as far as power goes. The Saturn is about 130bhp which is about what the PRV unit has IIRC. Not so sure about refinedness (is that a word?) though. I don't know if the Saturn engines had balance shafts like the Astrons but I don't think they did in which cas the V6 probably would be smoother.
