Why on earth would someone buy a brand new car from the dealer, and then never drive it? Was it part of a collection or sumfink? If it was a one-off to make a bit of money in a few decades time, then sorry - wrong choice! I know we're all drooling over it but, well, we're weird. It'll never ever ever make half of what it cost new. Bizarre.

A friend of my father did similar thing in 1978, traded in his, owned from new, Jaguar Mk1 for a new Marina, drove it home, his wife hated it on sight but he had the sense to take it back and upgrade to a BMW 5 series instead.

I can beat that - In the early 80's my mates dad traded in a Morris Minor for a Reliant Robin. He collected it on a Friday, drove it around for the weekend and hated it so much he paid £50 to swop back on Monday morning! Apparently they had serviced and cleaned it - and the Reliant was now dirty.

"The wining bidder must pay a £500 deposit into my pay pal account within 24 hours of end of auction, and the ballance within 3 days.Failure to do so will result in negative feed back."

The muppet clearly doesn't know that eBay sellers can no longer leave negative feedback!

I wondered if it was ex Patrick Collection but it doesn't appear to be. Can't imagine why you would buy it then not use it :? It'd be a bit like going out and shelling out £13k on a basic, new Focus or something and then just sticking it in your garage for twenty years.Wierd.

Well this one has gone a bit further, but still up there with all the right credentials.

I can just imagine it "Son I've bought you a new car" "What is it Dad, an XR, a GTi?" "No it's a Skoda"

That's really amazing, what a fabulous thing to have - a brand new M-reg car. If I had that and was serious about selling it I'd make sure I spared just a few minutes taking some doctor-stylee pics though. What a muppet

It does look shiny shiny though 8)

The Rover is a difficult one. It's still a tad new to take to most shows and so the number of people able to justify spending that kind of money on it is limited, and after all it is only a Rover 213 when all is said and done, nice though it is. At 12 miles it's exceptional but if you use it a bit and get it up to about 2000 is it still as unique? If you use it as summer daily for a couple of years and look after it very well, it still might only have 10000 on the clock but then it's not as special. You'd have to REALLY want one bad.
