When I think back to when I started driving, £800 bought you a shagged Fiesta, £500 a shagged Chavalier, £250 a shagged skoda.I reckon that SRSLY if I sorted the bubbles on the arches of my BMW I could enter it in a show and shine despite 181k on the clock. I've had a few 9000's and the aforementioned 9-3. They may not be the most exciting cars on the planet, but I think thats the point of them. Sadly my wife was always against the idea because she saw them as boxy, dowdy and only driven by flat-cap wearing oaps! This from a woman who drove a Favorit GLX for 3 years!Anyway, imagine my shock when she bought a 900s on eBay last week. I'm still shell-shocked. Pillock Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 My boss has just picked up a '98 9-5 low pressure turbo jobbie. It's nice, tan leather and dark green paint. Was advertised for £500, when he got there the power steering pump was groaning a bit so the chap knocked £150 off. ayd Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 we use Saabs and currently have a 4 year old 9-5...we bought it to replace our 1999 9-5...love them, if looked after are uber reliable and a comfy ride, not the most exciting drive but dependable all the same, were due to upgrade it again this year but seeing as it;'s worth next to nowt in the current economic climate......its staying.Still need shite though, not found a replacement for the old Audio and that went months ago Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
