***Sold for £800 via eBay***

Right, Old Man's bought an A4 Quattro so I'm now advertising the Civic on his behalf.

It's a 2001 Y plate so the tax is £225 unfortunately, as opposed to £145 if it was on an X.

Drive away condition and currently 'taxed to get you home' until 1st of August, and MOT to February.

It's a manual, on 54000 miles, with a sizeable pile of MOTs and bills from the previous (first) owner to back it up.

Generally pretty tidy aside a giffer bodge on the paint on one wheel, and it's had a dodgy rear quarter respray at some point in its lifetime and the paint match is slightly off and a bit orange peely.

Two good tyres (new Dunlops), two bad (ditchfinders, needs replaced).

Any questions welcome. Old Man is asking £825, but shiter's price is a firm Ã‚£750. Needs to be gone pretty quickly as it's taking up drive space and isn't insured. (It does mean we can force the neighbours to park outside their own bloody house for a while though...)

Car is in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester.

These are all Swindon built IIRC. This one has non-standard rear brake discs so I suspect they were using up parts when they were building them.

And yes - good for knocking about but needs a reasonably good kick up the arse to go (90hp). And no, it's not a K. There was apparently an L-series diesel Civic but I've never seen one.

Rather lovely and GLWTS.

Depending on the open suspension surgery results today on the Picasso I may be in touch. Dont hold your breath though.

Can I clarify - is the third rear seatbelt a 3 point or a lap belt?

It's a lap belt - seeing as you're in a Picasso for now I'm guessing this is bad news?

Now on a classified eBay ad @ £895 (not my choice).

Already had two stereotypical Civic drivers enquire, both asked for money off right off the bat, one from Birmingham, one from Stafford.

Five door Civic?

The Midlands?

Go figure. This is going to be fun*.

Nice cars these - my mum's still knocking about in her R-reg which she's had since it was a couple of years old and it's never needed anything other than servicing. Sure it's glacially slow being a 1.4 auto but quite a nice thing to pootle around in and it really doesn't look or feel like a 18 year old car.

I'll be very miffed if she ever gets rid of it without offering it to me first.
