Too many shite cars, having a clearout

Not sure if I`m just too busy with family  or I`m losing my mojo, but I need a periodic clearout

Not done anything with the Merc, not even cleaned it which is unusual for me after a year of ownership so may as well get it gone despite it being my dream car almost.

Scenic just died yesterday so I have just decided to get that Xantia on the road as an interesting and crusty replacement which gives me a bit more work to do.

Also I must finish the Triumph Acclaim for mrs dodgytom as she is getting upset about it.

My everyday Escort van needs some love and my Shogun towcar is going to need some chassis welding soon

My Renault 16 is due home soon and needs plenty of love

Have promised my mother I would give her 1998 Almera Sri a makeover as it is looking scruffy but she has had it forever and its part of the family.

We have just inherited the mother in laws L reg Peugeot 306 diesel so `er indoors is going to run that for a while as it a family heirloom, she has had it years and years and has done 250,000 but I need to do a few minor jobs on it

So I`m a bit overwhelmed with cars and  don`t have time for the following vehicles:

Mercedes 240td  £1000 Needs suspension pipes, tyres and a bit of welding but not much. 99,000 miles. mechanically ok. I have the wheeltrims :)post-19511-0-87675600-1435343138_thumb.jpg

Lada Niva £600 solid and rot free. mechanically good but paintwork rough.post-19511-0-72940600-1435343496_thumb.jpg

Toyota Tercel. No idea, bid me???? Mechanically good with a perfect interior but needs welding.comes with 2 new wings, one of which I have painted already post-19511-0-62530500-1435343595_thumb.jpgpost-19511-0-82836200-1435343646_thumb.jpg

Its been dumped on my ex`s drive pending me robbing the plate off it :)

Although as my Scenic sadly passed away yesterday I think shall be pressing the 405 into service as a kid carrier until I get the Xantia done

Having said that, it may upset me as I drove it down the A5 last week and overtook loads of slow going cars. Got to the same roundabout at Dobbies (where my Saab 93 turbo died) and one of the gear links fell off, leaving me having to fix it while dressed clean with everyone I had just overtaken was staring at me,  :(

Why, do you want it?

Yes certainly :)

It is a P reg 1.7

It is very solid apart from one small part on the front wing seam. But I shall do that before sale if he wants

It is mechanically perfect apart from the alternater works intermittently ( I have a spare but haven`t had time to fit it )

The car drives fine apart from a large flat spot on accelleration ( there is a spare carb )

Tyres all legal

Roof and tailgate all original paint are are ok but sides and bonnet have been painted badly and are flaking

it comes with a bullbar

the clutch slave was sticking so bought a new one. haven`t fitted it as it stopped sticking as soon as it arrived :)

all i can see it needs for an mot is washers don`t work and cv gaiter is split. prob other minor stuff like lights etc but seems pretty good

have lost the V5

If I could buy the Tercel I would but I've got four cars that don't work properly already and our lass won't let me replace her Discovery with anything smaller.

Anyway what were you doing on foot earlier? Is that what happens to people in possession of Laguna 11's?

So you didn`t offer me a lift then? tosspot

Just dropping a car off for test, I leave one in a side street save me getting a lift or waiting. I don`t do waiting

KruJoe to the front desk please! He's taking a fancy to Toyotas recently...

They all do that sir.

So common that it can't be called a fault. A bit of use and they always free off and work fine.

Not to worry Joe, I`m sure someone will buy it! If 2 of these sell then I shall probably keep the third

I do like my Niva but would like another simple carb one with a weber conversion, I`m not a fan of these new fangled injection models!

Will do more pics as soon as I find the charger!
