wuvvum
I discovered another new feature on this today. When you run it really low on fuel, the last bar of the fuel gauge disappears and the word "LOW" starts flashing. Fortunately I was already on my way to the petrol station when this occurred - I don't know how far the car would go in flashing mode, but my guess is not very. eddyramrod
wuvvum
OK, this isn't going to work, is it? Thanks to all who expressed an interest, but it looks like the old crate is staying put until I can get round to MOTing it.
eddyramrod
You must do what you think best, but if you do decide to raffle it off, I'm still in.
wuvvum
I have no problem with raffling it off, but there's still 18 "tickets" to be sold and it'd all have to be done and dusted (including payments) before Wednesday's draw, or it'll be out of MOT before it can be collected, and I don't think another 18 people are going to jump in within the next 48 hours. Maybe it's just a bit too obscure of a car, I dunno.
purplebargeken
Well I'd still be raffle interested if anything changes.
Sealtainn
If you decide to raffle it when it's MoT'd, I'd still be interested in several tickets Banger Kenny
eddyramrod
Yes, it probably is a bit "specialist" for some people. Are you going to go for MoT?
wuvvum
I'll probably end up sticking it in for an MOT in the next couple of months. Obviously with a year's test the price will have to go up somewhat though. eddyramrod
DodgyBastard
What does it matter about the mot? If it had no mot and I was to win the raffle I would just insure it and book it in for an mot at my local station and drive it home.

Sealtainn
Good point, I'd forgotten about the "drive to pre-booked MoT" rule when it's run out.Wonder if that counts if I book it up here in Shetland and the driving straight to involves 14hrs on an overnight ferry? Cavcraft
I'd love to drive it for a while, I'm just too lazy to come and get it if I win. Unless I hired a transporter trailer for our weeks holiday in Cromer in August.

wuvvum
I've not actually tried to insure it individually, I've just stuck it on my trader's, but from past experience there's plenty of specialist insurers who cover Yanks, usually quite cheaply, albeit often with mileage limitations etc.
