Bikeshite for sale - 1989 Honda VFR750F

For sale is my Honda VFR750F.

I bought this upon passing my test a year ago as a first big bike. It's been excellent, and surprisingly cheap on insurance for a new rider (£180TPFT for me.) However I have now got a Fireblade so this is for sale.

Make:Honda

Model:VFR750F-K

Year:1989G

MOT: 12/04/2016

Tax: Currently on SORN

Miles: 60940

Price: £600

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Mechanically the bike is fine, starts first time and runs well. Tyres, brakes etc all good. Only known mechanical issue is a false neutral between 5th and 6th gears. Doesn't jump out of any gear but normally takes 2 attempts to get it into 6th.

Cosmetically it's far from perfect. It was in various colours when I bought it, so I got a red tank which is slightly dented and resprayed the rest. I've painted it in 2 pack in the original Honda Italian Red, but it was my first attempt at a spray job so has every first timer mistake available - orange peel, some runs, some panels where the prep was insufficient and the paint hasn' t adhered properly. Basically it looks fine from 10 yards or so but up close, not so good. There is enough paint to respray the bike again included with the sale, along with the spare tank.

Also the screen and clocks are not as transparent as they used to be, and there are some recently appeared cracks in the tail piece. The seat cover is grubby but not ripped.

I've attempted to show all the issues in the pics.

Can possibly assist with delivery if fairly local.

Please note that the bike currently has an electrical issue as mentioned in my thread, I have identified the cause of this as a bad earth connection inside the main loom, and will repair it before sale (basically as soon as I get myself  a new soldering iron).

Any questions etc, you know what to do.

Now fixed and ready to go.

I've also realised I've failed to use any VFR cliches in the ad, so please find some attached here.

As discussed elsewhere, I have a minty low miles, full history, not a scratch one of these living under a layer of dust and assorted crap at the back of the garage.

Occasional electrical Frenchness aside they are a brilliant bike.

V4 howl? I always thought it sounded more like a washing machine.

Anyway GLWTS.
