Guest
Lincoln Continental Mark V: I swear I'm going to get one of these eventually, I actually like the fact that they're enormous, slow and thirsty. If I was a millionaire this would be my daily driver for sure, a proper luxury car for sinister people. As is, I'll probably have to make do with a Hyundai XG30 when I "arrive". Split_Pin
There are lots of shitters I'd love, but 'ideal' they are not.I'd opt for a MK3 Escort 3-door hatch base model, 1100cc and vynl interior, in diamon white. Dont know why, but this spec really shows off the fact that the MK3 is 'imo' a clean and crisp style for its time.Does it have to be a car? I'd also love a Leyland FG and an Ailsa bus. Richard
The two cars I've owned that I wish I still had were the Renault Savanna 1.9D and Hillman Avenger 1600DL Estate. A fully operational one of either of these would do me nicely.I see I'm not the only person to have toyed with the idea of dropping a diesel engine into an old car. Baz
Missed out on a Y-Reg Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Veloce in chocolate brown about 20 years ago....I took a while getting the money together, and it got sold....I've always regretted that, so I'd love one of those! A turquoise Datsun 120Y Coupe for the wife....A strange dreamcar for a woman who's not really into cars! White MX-5 1600 Mk1....Looking totally standard and immaculate, except for the factory style front spoiler, but fitted with a supercharger and uprated brakes/suspension! Always fancied a pale green, or grey Bristol 401, fitted with modern engine, transmission, brakes and suspension....From a BMW or summat....Dunno if it's feasible, and it would work out quite expensive, but the idea has always appealed!
