John F
Not mine, it's being sold by someone on the LT forum - see below: http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/whats-it-worth-nonvw_topic89413.html It will be on ebay soon, but if anyone wants me to make an offer via Brickyard for them I can do. dugong
Some interesting opinions on that thread. Pictures, price, MoT status, stuff like that. I'll definitely buy the alloys if there's no further interest. John F
Junkman
With the amount of information available, it's impossible to form an opinion. One should think that people on a car forum would know that and offer at least some rudimentary idea as to condition and installed propulsion system.Or remain quiet until they have more information themselves. As we all have seen recently, 305s in the right configuration can command surprisingly stiff money. Twiggy

John F
What's said in that thread just reflects what the normal* motoring public thinks about old chod. I don't mind, tbh. It keeps the cost of old motors down dugong

I've just sent Bollox the seller's email address, I'll pass it on to you if he doesn't want it (although if that's the case it might be an idea to find out why he's not interested...). carlo
Wasn't Carlo once looking for a 305 GTX? A long time ago admittedly. Yes I'd definitely be tempted, one of my all tame fave cars, though would indeed prefer a saloon. Very few left now.
dieselnutjob
I had a 305 GTX maybe 15 years ago. It was rotten and dented, I basically bought it because it had some MOT and I needed a car while I fixed up my much better GLD, and it meant I could put the interior and wheels on the GLD. The few months that I drove it were an absolute blast. It was very quick and 305 estates have quite nice handling. The seats on the GTX are nice looking, very comfortable and quite supportive. If you can find one of these with good bodywork then they are an excellent buy. Don't worry too much about the mechanicals because engines from other PugCits are so widely available. You can even put a 306 HDI under the bonnet.

Jim Bell
That's a very good offer that. More than fair. Surprised he wasn't interested. He's dreaming at £500. As is clear by the lack of sale. shame. Cavcraft

carlo
Hope it's not as rusty as the GTX I picked up from ebay five or six years ago. That was fooked, roof was so bad it was virtually a convertible. Partridge
