JohnK
As mentioned in my 190 For Sale thread, not quite sure which I want to sell, so I'm putting both up for sale to see what happens! This is an early E34 and is the old M20 12 valve engine carried over from the E30/E28 and not the later 24v engine. This was part of the attraction for me, I love the really early ones and the M20 engines just seem to have virtually disappeared. 106k miles3 previous owners (1989-1996, 1996-2003, 2003-2015 when I bought it). Car has stacks of history and has clearly been loved all of its life. It starts, drives and runs excellent. I've just recently serviced it as well. Interior is mint, I gave it a good clean out just after bringing it home and it really is in good condition. Drivers seat is firm with no wear or sagging either which are both common. Exterior, again really good for one of these. There's no rust. There are some minor scratch marks on the NSF wing and the rear bumper has had a bit of a bump at some point it seems. I'm looking for £1050 Ono, part ex is welcome though. nacho man, Sudsprint, laser wheels and 12 others

DodgyBastard
If it was a bit cheaper I'm sure someone on here would buy it just to punt it on the blue forum for a decent profit. JohnK
JohnK
Ha. I've got both this and the 190 advertised over there as well. I've had 2 successful sales through there in the past though so here's hoping ...

The Reverend Bluejeans
I went the launch of these in June 1988 at North Oxford Garage. You could hear the resale value of E28's plummet as the sheets were pulled off the two cars inside. One of BMW's best ever designs. JohnK
Agreed. Alongside the E32. They're a good looking car.
EssDeeWon
Classy Motor that John. Always liked these E34's, for some reason they look great in white. Not many cars do! But the champagne is also very smart and reeks of old money, just needs a private plate.

Lord Sterling
Excuse my ignorance but what is the blue forum?Retrorides. Called the "Blue forum" because its background colour is mostly Blue. I want an E34 in my life. Not at that price but it is a decent motor and certainly worth that. Sooner or later I will get one. stripped fred
gordonbennet
Handsome car, lovely colour combination, those BBS some of the nicest alloy wheels ever fitted to a car. HMC
EssDeeWon
Handsome car, lovely colour combination, those BBS some of the nicest alloy wheels ever fitted to a car. Agreed, but you need the patience of a saint when cleaning them by hand.
JohnK
They are horrendous to clean. I had these wheels on one of my old E23's as well and I got them that clean over the time I had the car that I was tempted to keep the wheels when I sold it to save me the hassle in future! Fortunately these ones are in good nick and didn't take long to clean up!

JohnK
Secured a sale on the 190E, but this is still available.
HMC
I had one of these a few years back, same year and engine size, although a manual in black, and a fair bit rattier/ bashed up looking, So much so that on a (rare) trip to London I was pulled by the police early in the morning by Trafalgar Square under the anti terror stop and search legislation! I've still got the docket slip I was handed but the car is long gone. JohnK
Sudsprint
Great car. How can that interior be 26 years old - it looks so contemporary.
JohnK
Going to have to venture this onto eBay I think. I've been driving it the last two days and I truly do love it, but I've got another shark nose motor lined up that I've found ...

HMC
Brilliant!! Always loved that sierra. Trouble is, your spoilt for choice now for shitefest......
JohnK
Sierra won't be ready for shitefest unfortunately. Part of the deal was Mike would buy the bumper he has sourced and have it couriered to me (following his mishap the other week), so front end will be all stripped down this weekend as I need to have a look at some rust on the front wings too. Mr_Bo11ox
Loads of shiters (myself included) are well chuffed that you've joined the forum and bought all their cast-offs JohnF!!! JohnK
I can't resist buying old shite unfortunately. I love my house looking like the local scrap yard - I can't be arsed with people and looking like the local gypo does keep them away from me. Still on the hunt for more,,, HMC and cort16
